Dangerous (M. Pokora song)

"Dangerous" is the first single from French singer M. Pokora's third album MP3. The song was produced by Timbaland and features Timbaland and his younger brother, Sebastian.

Presented in preview during the ceremony of the 2008 NRJ Music Awards, the single was released on 22 March 2008, two days before the release of the album. It went straight to number one in France in the first week, selling 5,674 units that week, but achieved a moderate success in other countries in which it was released. However, it was a top three hit in Belgium (Wallonia), reaching number two in its seventh week.

M. Pokora started to receive attention in North American countries like Mexico, where the video for "Dangerous" was in heavy rotation on MTVLA North and MTVLA Center.

Dangerous (Roxette song)

"Dangerous" is a song by the Swedish rock duo Roxette. Written by Per Gessle, the song was released as the fifth and final single from their second studio album Look Sharp! (1988). Gessle penned it just before Roxette's first tour in 1987. Released at the end of 1989, it was the group's third top 10 showing on the Billboard Hot 100, spending two weeks at #2 in February 1990, kept from the #1 spot by Janet Jackson's Escapade. The music video was performed in the ruins of Borgholm Castle. It was released as a double A-side in the UK, alongside Listen to Your Heart.

The version on the single features a different introduction, omitting the instruments in favour of the duo singing the first line of the chorus.

Music video

The video for Dangerous was filmed during Roxette′s concert at Borgholm Castle in Öland, Sweden, in July 1989. It is a mix from rehearsal & live performance at that show and was directed by Doug Freel.

Nebiolo Printech

Nebiolo Printech S.p.A. is a manufacturer of printing presses and paper and formerly a type foundry. Nebiolo & Co. was created when Giovanni Nebiolo bought out the type foundry of G. Narizzano in Turin, Italy, in 1852. In 1908 the company merged with the Urania Company and operated under the name Augustea and began to buy out many smaller foundries. In 1916 it was again renamed Società Nebiolo. Fiat bought the press manufacturing business in 1978, turning the type business over to Italiana Caratteri. In 1992 it became Nebiolo Printech S.p.A. and continues to manufacture presses under that name today.

Type Foundry

Nebiolo created a large library of typefaces, which remain popular today, although the company never entered photocomposition. It also built a type caster that competed with the Ludlow Typograph. Nebiolo types were distributed in the United States by Continental Type Founders Association. The designer Aldo Novarese became art director in 1952. The matrices for Nebiolo types are still being used by Schriften-Service D. Stempel GmbH.

"Wings" is a song by Ringo Starr, originally recorded for and released as a single from, the album Ringo the 4th. It was co-written with Vini Poncia in 1977. Starr later re-recorded it, produced by Starr and Bruce Sugar, and released it as a single from his 2012 studio album, Ringo 2012.

Recording

"Wings" was re-recorded for Ringo 2012. Starr on the 2012 re-recording: "This is a song I first recorded on Ringo the 4th back when an album meant vinyl. These are different days, and it's one of those songs I always wanted to revisit. I wrote "Wings" with Vinnie Poncia in New York, and he doesn't know I've done this yet. I'm going to surprise Vinnie and send it to him...For the last two years, I've been listening to a lot of reggae, so this album has a reggae feel to it. What can I tell you? I'm a product of my environment. I always loved the sentiment of this song, and I'm glad we finally got it right." A live version by Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band recorded live in Atlanta, was released on the Hurricane Sandy charity compilation, Songs After Sandy: Friends of Red Hook for Sandy Relief.

Wings (Kuzmin novel)

Wings (Russian: Крылья) was the first Russian novel centred on homosexuality. Written by Mikhail Kuzmin, it was printed in 1906 to the consternation of a conservative literary establishment.

Plot introduction

The novel deals with teenager Vanya Smurov's attachment to his older, urbane mentor, Larion Stroop, a pederast who initiates him into the world of early Renaissance, Classical and Romantic art. At the close of the first part, Vanya is shocked to learn that the object of his admiration frequents a gay bathhouse. In order to sort out his feelings, Vanya withdraws into the Volga countryside, but his sickening experience with rural women, whose call on him to enjoy his youth turns out to be an awkward attempt at seduction, induces Vanya to accept his Classics teacher's proposal and accompany him in a journey to Italy. In the last part of the novel, Vanya and Stroop, who is also in Italy, are seen enjoying the smiling climate and stunning artworks of Florence and Rome, while Prince Orsini mentors the delicate youth in the art of hedonism.
