PTMC or Percutaneous Trans-venous Mitral Commissurotomy is one of the most challenging procedures in Interventional Cardiology. It is the treatment given for the Mitral Valve of the Heart when it gets narrowed, due to a disease called Rheumatic Heart disease, caused by specific throat infections in childhood.
