The new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette for Holiday 2015 is convenient but expensive. Usually with holiday sets and palettes you get a better deal for your money, apparently Hourglass wanted to do the opposite lol. I had initially thought this palette would be the size of two of their trio palettes that had come out in the past but this bugger is even smaller yet. I love the hourglass powders and I think that this little palette is super convenient and a good one to try if you are new to Hourglass' Ambient Line… however 55 or so dollars would have been a better price point. With $80 they just really over did it. I hope you found this video helpful… THANK YOU for watchin' 'n until later… BYE!! xx

An hourglass (sandglass, sand timer, sand clock, egg timer) measures the passage of a few minutes or an hour of time. It has two connected vertical glass bulbs allowing a regulated trickle of material from the top to the bottom. Once the top bulb is empty, it can be inverted to begin timing again. The name hourglass comes from historically common hour timing. Factors affecting the time measured include the amount of sand, the bulb size, the neck width, and the sand quality. Alternatives to sand are powdered eggshell and powdered marble (sources disagree on the best material). In modern times, hourglasses are ornamental, or used when an approximate measure suffices, as in egg timers for cooking or for board games.
The origin of the hourglass is unclear, although it may have been introduced to Europe by an 8th-century monk named Luitprand, who served at the cathedral in Chartres, France. It was not until the 14th century that the hourglass was seen commonly, the earliest firm evidence being a depiction in the 1338 fresco Allegory of Good Government by Ambrogio Lorenzetti. Unlike its predecessor the clepsydra, or water clock, which may have been invented in ancient Egypt, the hourglass is believed to have originated in medieval Europe. This theory is based on the fact that the first written records of it were mostly from logbooks of European ships. Written records from the same period mention the hourglass, and it appears in lists of ships stores. An early record is a sales receipt of Thomas de Stetesham, clerk of the English ship La George, in 1345:

Ewan Gordon McGregor (born 31 March 1971) is a Scottish actor who has had success in mainstream, indie, and art house films. Usually with holiday sets and palettes you get a better deal for your money, apparently Hourglass wanted to do the opposite lol. I had initially thought this palette would be the size of two of their trio palettes that had come out in the past but this bugger is even smaller yet. I love the hourglass powders and I think that this little palette is super convenient and a good one to try if you are new to Hourglass' Ambient Line… however 55 or so dollars would have been a better price point. With $80 they just really over did it. Review : Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette Holiday 2015
Open Me 'n Watch in 1080p HD!! :) More info can be found here...including the makeup I'm wearing in this video :) The new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette for Holiday 2015 is convenient but expensive. Usually with holiday sets and palettes you get a better deal for your money, apparently Hourglass wanted to do the opposite lol. I had initially thought this palette would be the size of two of their trio palettes that had come out in the past but this bugger is even smaller yet. I love the hourglass powders and I think that this little palette is super convenient and a good one to try if you are new to Hourglass' Ambient Line… however 55 or so dollars would have been a better price point. What happens when you replace the sand in an hourglass with the liquid metal, mercury? You can see that fluids do not work very well in hourglasses because it doesn't "breathe" properly. Despite being almost 14 times denser than water, it still behaves like a liquid, bubbling and dribbling along. Frequently asked questions: --------How long did it take for the mercury to fall through the hourglass?---------- A: It took about 10 minutes. However, the mercury would start and stop and a few times it stopped for a minute or so and required me to nudge it to get it going again. --------------------------------------------------- - How did you seal up the hole? The new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette for Holiday 2015 is convenient but expensive. Usually with holiday sets and palettes you get a better deal for your money, apparently Hourglass wanted to do the opposite lol. I had initially thought this palette would be the size of two of their trio palettes that had come out in the past but this bugger is even smaller yet. I love the hourglass powders and I think that this little palette is super convenient and a good one to try if you are new to Hourglass' Ambient Line… however 55 or so dollars would have been a better price point. With $80 they just really over did it. I hope you found this video helpful… THANK YOU for watchin' 'n until later… BYE!! xx

I love the hourglass powders and I think that this little palette is super convenient and a good one to try if you are new to Hourglass' Ambient Line… however 55 or so dollars would have been a better price point. What happens when you replace the sand in an hourglass with the liquid metal, mercury? You can see that fluids do not work very well in hourglasses because it doesn't "breathe" properly. Despite being almost 14 times denser than water, it still behaves like a liquid, bubbling and dribbling along.
Frequently asked questions:
--------How long did it take for the mercury to fall through the hourglass?----------
A: It took about 10 minutes. However, the mercury would start and stop and a few times it stopped for a minute or so and required me to nudge it to get it going again.
