Amber Robinson – National Parenting Editor
Amber Robinson is a journalist with more than 15 years’ experience in online media, working with some of Australia’s largest publishers. Like many mums pregnant with their first child, she turned to Essential Baby for support and advice and, before she knew it, found she was earning a healthy number of post counts.
While on maternity leave with her second child, Amber was continuing to build her profile on the Essential Baby forum when she was offered a position within the team. Amber has now found her niche as National Parenting Editor, reaching over 1.5 million parents every month at Australia’s largest parenting community, EB, and its sister site Essential Kids. She lives in Sydney with her husband and two children and is an avid user of social media.
Katie Carlin – Editor, Essential Kids
Katie has been a Fairfax Media journalist for four years, working on Essential Kids since their 2011 launch. Along with publishing the site 24/7, she is also charged with running Essential Kids’ social accounts, and liaising with our many contributors. With nine younger siblings, Katie feels like she has been immersed in the parenting world most of her life. She cried real tears in Disney's Frozen (while her nine-year-old sister remained unmoved), loves food more than she should and aspires to write and illustrate a children's book.
Livia Gamble – Writer/Editorial Producer
As a writer and producer for Essential Kids, Livia brings you the latest news and current affairs. She’s responsible for the tear-jerkers and heart-warming stories from brave, sometimes funny - and always inspiring kids and parents around the world. She has one cat, Mr Hemsworth (no relation to Liam or Chris), and her favourite flavour ice cream is chocolate.
Marion Turner - Producer
Marion has worked with the team on Essential Baby and Essential Kids websites for over 6 years and is responsible for creating many of the awesome galleries, worksheets and craft ideas you find on Essential Kids. She is a mum to 2 boys and goes a little overboard with preparing their birthday parties with the help of Pinterest.
