50 Cent mocks disabled teen

Rapper 50 Cent is facing fierce backlash after he posted a video of himself mocking a disabled teenager.

An autistic man who was accused of being "high as a mother----er" by 50 Cent on social media is considering legal action.

Andrew Farrell, 19, was at work at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport when he was approached by 50 Cent (real name Curtis James Jackson III) who filmed their interaction on his phone.

The resulting video was posted to the rapper's Twitter account on the weekend but has since been deleted.

It shows Farrell pushing his janitor's cart through the airport while on a shift.

The teenager, who has autism and Asperger's syndrome, shakes his head and refuses to tell the Candy Shop rapper his name, before 50 Cent accuses the teen of being "high as a mother----er", alleging that his pupils are "dilated and everything".

Farrell told the New York Daily News he did not know who 50 Cent was when he was approached at work and, while he saw the rapper was carrying a phone, he was not aware he was being recorded.

"I was pushing my cart and I'd just started work and basically was minding my own business," he said.

Farrell's father Kent told TMZ the family have acquired legal representation but are not certain on whether they will sue.

The family will not take legal action if 50 Cent, who filed for bankruptcy last year after claiming he was unable to pay a $US 7 million sex tape lawsuit, donates $US 1 million to their son's GoFundMe page and gives a face-to-face apology.

He added that his son has a hearing condition and wears a hearing aid, which may have also affected his ability to hear what 50 Cent was saying to him.

In a public statement on her Facebook page, Andrew's mother Amanda Kramer thanked those who had supported her son since the video was released.

"We are nothing but proud of Andrew and his choices and ability to just ignore this bully,'" she wrote. "I am not putting this on social media to bring attention to my family or myself. All I want is for people to realise that their words have consequences and we should choose them wisely."

50 Cent is yet to comment on the incident.
