Cadillac Jack is a Georgia, US-based gaming company that creates and supplies various types of gambling games as a subsidiary of Amaya Gaming Group. They develop within Class II and Class III gaming markets in the US and Mexico.
Jack may refer to:
Cadillac /ˈkædᵻlæk/, formally the Cadillac Motor Car Division, is a division of U.S.-based General Motors (GM) that markets luxury vehicles worldwide. Its primary markets are the United States, Canada, and China, but Cadillac-branded vehicles are distributed in 34 additional markets worldwide. Historically, Cadillac automobiles have always held a place at the top of the luxury field within the United States. In 2014, Cadillac's U.S. sales were 170,750 vehicles.
Cadillac is among the oldest automobile brands in the world, second in America only to fellow GM marque Buick. The firm was founded from the remnants of the Henry Ford Company in 1902, almost nine years before Chevrolet. It was named after Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac, who founded Detroit, Michigan. The Cadillac crest is based on his coat of arms.
By the time General Motors purchased the company in 1909 Cadillac had already established itself as one of America's premier luxury carmakers. The complete interchangeability of its precision parts had allowed it to lay the foundation for the modern mass production of automobiles. It was at the forefront of technological advances, introducing including full electrical systems, the clashless manual transmission and the steel roof. The brand developed three engines, with its V8 setting the standard for the American automotive industry.
Jack Graves Favor, known as Cadillac Jack Favor (November 30, 1911 – December 27, 1988), was an American rodeo performer who was framed and falsely imprisoned in 1967 for two murders committed in North Louisiana by two hitchhikers whom Favor had given a ride. In 1974, in a retrial he was cleared of the crime and released.
Favor, the son of Robert Dixon Favor and Georgia Graves, was born and reared on a ranch near Eula in Callahan County east of Abilene, Texas. He graduated in 1929 from Abilene High School and began his first of two stints in the United States Navy. On his return to Texas in 1932 at the beginning of the Great Depression, Favor worked on a dairy farm and then as a truck driver for a plumbing supply company. Divorced after a brief marriage to Pearl Alexander, Favor married the former Ponder Irene Rhodes (1914-1993) on October 14, 1941 in Callahan County, Texas.
During World War II, Favor returned to the Navy in 1943, but his passion was in rodeo, particularly bulldogging and bronc riding. At 6' 2" and 230 pounds, Favor in 1942 rode the legendary bucking horse Hell's Angel at Madison Square Garden in New York City for the Gene Autry Rodeo. Favor mounted Hell's Angel despite a leg injury which he treated with a spray of ether. He won $18,000 for his feat. On four occasions he held the rodeo bulldogging record, including throwing a steer in 2.2 seconds at the rodeo in Houston, Texas. The record of 2.2 seconds remains unbeaten, but it has been matched by James "Big Jim" Bynum of Forreston, near Waxahachie, Texas. In 1946, back from the war, Favor won rodeo championships in Denver and Fort Worth, where he had relocated in 1939.
Zephire Andre Williams (born November 1, 1936) is an American R&B musician who started his career in the 1950s at Fortune Records in Detroit. His most famous songs include the hits "Jail Bait," "Greasy Chicken," "Bacon Fat" (1957) and "Cadillac Jack" (1966). He is also the co-author of the R&B hit "Shake a Tail Feather".
Williams relaxed talking-style vocals on his mid-to-late 1950s singles are some of the earliest rap/hip-hop-style vocals on record.
Born in Bessemer, Alabama, United States, Williams lived in a housing project with his mother until she died when he was six years of age. A sly and smart young boy, his "aunties" raised him until he was around 16. He then set out on his own and moved to Detroit, Michigan. There, he became friends with Jack and Devora Brown, owners of Fortune Records which was located at the back of a barber shop. Williams would become label mates with Nolan Strong and Nathaniel Mayer.
He then became lead singer for The 5 Dollars in 1955, which already had a contract with Fortune Records. Though most of the songs were billed as 'Andre Williams and the Don Juans' (on Epic in 1956 billed as 'Andre Mr Rhythm Williams and his New Group'), "Bacon Fat" and "Jail Bait" were solo efforts. "Bacon Fat" hit #9 on the US Billboard R&B chart in 1957. "Bacon Fat" (written by Williams) was such a success that Fortune Records sold the song to Epic Records, a much larger distributor (released as Epic 5-9196 "Bacon Fat/Just because of a Kiss"). In 1960 Fortune released an album of all of his singles with the Don Juans, which was titled Jail Bait (re-released in 1986). In 1960, he appeared on Motown's Miracle Record label releasing "Rosa Lee".

Plot: Holt Holiday and Randy Thyme have been musicians then roadies since the time they could walk. Having just completed another tour with a no name band they remember fondly their days as roadies with the Rolling Stones and how things seemingly will never be the same as they ponder their future. Returning home full-time to Hollywood for the first time in over a decade, the pair seeks out Holt's Uncle Ron, a semi-celebrity in Tinsel Town with an unknown but shady past, in the hopes Uncle Ron will be able to set them up with a place to crash and some hold over cash until their next big tour comes along. But Uncle Ron has other arrangements in mind when Holt and Randy come knocking on his doorstep. Referencing a promise that he made to Holt's mother before she died years earlier to watch over his wayward nephew, Uncle Ron offers Holt, and by proximity Randy, a chance to run a abandoned film studio that recently fell into his possession. By managing the studio, Uncle Ron tells the boys they might finally be able to settle down and learn some responsibility. Holt and Randy are reluctant to accept Uncle Ron's offer, until they discover the studio has a complete recording studio and an unbeatable sound system. The guys know they can't let the place go, despite the fact they know nothing about the film business. Holt also sees the studio as a chance to possibly reconnect with his estranged uncle, as Uncle Ron is the only family he has left now. Holt and Randy enlist the aid of a Hollywood veteran in their struggle to clean up the place and bring in business: a hobo named Marley who lives secretly in the studio's second and a half floor. Marley relates to Holt and Randy how his life fell apart years earlier when the popular television show on which he was working was canceled and how as a result he took refuge in the abandoned studio. Holt and Randy reach a tentative agreement with Marley: if Marley shares his intricate knowledge of Hollywood with them and helps bring in business, then they'll let him stay in the building. Marley agrees and a shaky alliance is born. Marley secretly has sinister plans of his own however to use the reopened studio as platform to seek revenge on those who canceled his show in the first place. Adding to the boys' worries is Uncle Ron's fiancée Brianna Silvers, a beautiful but diabolic gold digger from the Valley with an ulterior motive as well: to wrestle away control of the studio from the boys. Brianna sees ownership of the studio as her chance to rub elbows with Hollywood's rich and famous and sees Holt and Randy as little more than imbeciles to be overcome in her quest toward stardom. All the while, Uncle Ron checks in on Holt and Randy from time to time, acting more as a silent but supervising partner in the business as opposed to an active owner. But as the studio books its first clients and begins to turn a profit, Randy questions if Holt and he are becoming too corporate - especially as some of the musicians from their past are rumored to be starting up a big tour in the near future and are looking for roadies.

Great cut by Andre Williams, artist, writer, producer, who has so many credits you couldn't count them. This was done in the late 60's with the Dells backing. I've always loved this. I wonder if Jim Croce ever heard this record? A Universal Music Group recording.

Cadillac Jack
(K. Gordon)
My daddy sells Caddys down on Grand Avenue
He walks that hot asphalt in his new white shoes
He's tryin' to talk some fool into that two door on the corner
Well, it ain't ever run and it ain't ever gonna
Doctored odometers and forged inspections
Landed my pappy in the House of Correction
Cadillac Jack's #1 son
Dirty hands get the dealin' done
I'm just a chip off'a the busted block
Cadillac Jack's #1 son
I wrapped this Eldorado ¡round a telephone pole
And landed straight in the arms of the state patrol
There was whiskey on my breath and blood on the wheel
And bright lights in my face..."Hey, what's the big idea!"
But Pappy knows the D.A. and he'll see it our way
A big stack of cash can surely save
Cadillac Jack's #1 son
Dirty hands get the dealin' done
I'm just a chip off'a the busted block
Cadillac Jack's #1 son
Now don't the blood run thicker than the law when you're on the brink
The things you do for love and hate No, you don't stop to think
Now, there's this woman I know used to treat me kind
And the baby she rockin' in her arms is mine
But I just can't abide no restraining order
I' m gonna grab that kid and break for the border
We'll be just a coupl'a gringos down in Mexico
South of Matamoros, ain't nobody gonna know
Cadillac Jack's #1 son
Dirty hands get the dealin' done
I'm just a chip off'a the busted block
Cadillac Jack's #1 son
