Also....in December 2017 I received the letter that stated that I achieved the National Board Teacher Certification for Exceptional Needs. It was a long wait from May when I submitted everything, and an even longer wait from when I started thinking about the doing the process many years before. All told, the whole NBCT process takes a lot of time, and they say that a majority of people don’t pass it on the first go. That is one of the reasons why this certification is esteemed in many ed circles.
