Bob Rule

Bobby Frank Rule (born June 29, 1944) is a retired American basketball player at center for the NBA's Seattle SuperSonics, Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and briefly, the Milwaukee Bucks.

Earlier in his college career, Rule played under the legendary Jerry Tarkanian, then head coach at Riverside Community College, as a member of two state championship teams. A second round pick in the 1967 NBA Draft, Rule quickly became one of the stars of Seattle's expansion franchise. Named to the 1967-68 NBA All-Rookie Team, Rule's 18.1 points per game average stood as the SuperSonics rookie record for forty seasons, until broken by Kevin Durant. His rebounding average of 9.5 is the second best ever by a SuperSonics rookie, behind only Pete Cross's 12.0 in the 1970-71 season. Also during his rookie season, Rule scored 47 points in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers — still a SuperSonics rookie record.

Rule's game grew stronger during the next two seasons. In the 1968-69 season, he averaged 24.0 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game. In the 1969-70 season, he averaged 24.6 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game, set a then-Supersonics record of 49 points in a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, and played in the 1970 NBA All-Star Game. In the 1970-71 season, Rule began the season averaging 29.8 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game in his first four games before going down with a season-ending torn achilles tendon. He never regained his All-Star form after his scoring fell to 15.1 PPG the following season and saw limited playing time thereafter. By 1974 his career was over.

Rule the World

"Rule the World" is a song by English pop band Take That. It was released as the fifth single from their fourth studio album Beautiful World (2006). It was released in the United Kingdom on 21 October 2007 via digital download and as a CD single the following day.

Take That performed the song at the London 2012 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony whilst the Olympic Flame was extinguished. Because the song was written for the 2007 fantasy film Stardust, the song was submitted for consideration at the 80th Academy Awards for Best Original Song but was not nominated.

Background

"Rule the World" is the first song written by Take That specifically for a film. Matthew Vaughn, the director of Stardust, contacted Take That in the hope of getting them to write a song for the film. After seeing the film the band members agreed to write and perform a song. The band wrote the chorus of the song while they were in Spain. They played the song for Matthew Vaughn who included it in the end credits of the film. Gary Barlow performs lead vocals. The song is not included on the soundtrack for Stardust, nor on the original release of the album Beautiful World.

Cris Cab

Cristian Cabrerizo better known as Cris Cab (born January 21, 1993) is an American singer-songwriter and musician who has released a number of EPs, a mixtape, Echo Boom, and has become well known with his international hit "Liar Liar". He is signed to Island Def Jam Records and Island Records. His songs are a fusion of pop, reggae, and soul.

Career

Cris Cab started music at a very young age. Born to Cuban parents in Miami, Florida, he spent summers in the Bahamas broadening his music tastes. At 14, his father bought him his first studio session. At 15, his early demos caught the attention of Pharrell Williams who met him and mentored him. Hugely popular online, articles appeared about him on blogs including Perez Hilton, Just Jared and online website of Billboard. Cris Cab also opened for various acts including T-Pain, Matisyahu, Rebelution, Gym Class Heroes and O.A.R.

Signing a management deal, he released his debut Foreword EP in 2011 and his original single "Good Girls". Wyclef Jean met him on tour and became a second mentor to him and recorded "She's So Fly" with him.

Bob Marley

Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley, OM (6 February 1945 – 11 May 1981) was a Jamaican reggae singer, songwriter, musician, and guitarist who achieved international fame and acclaim. Starting out in 1963 with the group The Wailers, he forged a distinctive songwriting and vocal style that would later resonate with audiences worldwide. The Wailers would go on to release some of the earliest reggae records with producer Lee "Scratch" Perry.

After the Wailers disbanded in 1974, Marley pursued a solo career upon his relocation to England that culminated in the release of the album Exodus in 1977, which established his worldwide reputation and produced his status as one of the world's best-selling artists of all time, with sales of more than 75 million records.Exodus stayed on the British album charts for fifty-six consecutive weeks. It included four UK hit singles: "Exodus", "Waiting in Vain", "Jamming", and "One Love". In 1978 he released the album Kaya, which included the hit singles "Is This Love" and "Satisfy My Soul".
