TSA Airport Security with a
Baby - Tips by

Guide to Air Travel with an
Infant."
Hi I'm Brianna Meighan author of #1 AMAZON BESTSELLER book: HOW TO
FLY WITH A
BABY: YOUR MILE-HIGH
GUIDE TO
AIR TRAVEL WITH AN INFANT. After completing 40 flights prior to my son's first
Birthday, as you can imagine, the airport has become our second home. So up next, I'm going to share with you my fabulous tips on how you and your little one can successfully cruise through airport TSA
Security in a breeze.
NUMBER ONE:
Be prepared. That means, when you get to the airport TSA Security
Checkpoint, wear shoes you can easily slip on and off and have all your belongings securely packed into your carry-on luggage.
NUMBER TWO: Your baby will have to come out of the stroller so you can carry him or her through the metal detector.
DON'T WORRY,
METAL DETECTORS ARE NOT HARMFUL TO BABIES AND AT NO
TIME WILL YOU BE PHYSICALLY SEPERATED FROM YOUR LITTLE ONE.
THREE: TSA Security in the
United States will not require that you prove the contents contained in your baby's bottle by asking you to drink a sip there on the spot, however, be prepared that TSA security in other countries may ask you to do so. I always pack all my baby formula into ziplock baggies to avoid spills in my carry on luggage or suitcase. Be sure that your toiletries liquids do not exceed do not bring more than 3.2 oz or
100 mL.
AND FOUR: Since your baby's breastmilk, formula, juice and/or baby food are all exempt from the TSA Security's maximum limit of 3.4 ounces or 100mililiters, it's likely that TSA will want to conduct additional screenings on any baby food or formula.
Again, it's all just part of the process and it's completely harmless.
Water however will need to be refilled once you've exited the security area.
