Plot: Ashwani Kumar Saxena lives a poor lifestyle along with his wife, Parvati, and a young son, Ravi. When he wife gives birth to a daughter, he decides to let his widower and childless employer, Rajeshwar, adopt her. Rajeshwar hates orphans as his sister had married one by the name of Sobhraj, and shortly thereafter e was abused, and had killed herself. Rajeshwar then relocates to live in Bombay, and Parvati and Ravi perish in a fire. Ashwani adopts an orphan, names him Ravi, and enrolls him in S.V. College, Bombay, where he meets and falls in love with Suman. When Ashwani finds out that Ravi is in love with Suman, he approach Rajeshwar, who rejects this alliance due to his hatred of orphans, and humiliates him as he is poor. Ashwani promises to avenge this humiliation and create circumstances that will compel Rajeshwar to permit Suman to marry Ravi, leaving Rajeshwar with no choice but to reconcile with Sobhraj and ruin Ashwani once and for all.

Plot: Henry Adler lives in Ontario by himself, regularly visits his gruff and critical father, and works in a bank; he's also an actor. He finds new purpose in life when he's cast as a cop in a realistic TV show. He gets into the part, borrowing the uniform from wardrobe, and walking around the city streets. Soon he's talking to bank customers as if he's a cop; this gets him in trouble with his boss, but Henry doesn't care. He falls for one of the actresses, Charlie, and they practice together. Henry's quirks and his intensity creep her out, though, and she breaks off all contact. He's desolate. Things come to a head when one of LA's finest mistakes Henry for a real cop.

Plot: India is plagued with kidnappings of young children from wealthy backgrounds with their abductors demanding huge ransoms or brutally killing their victims. Shortly after this, he displays his abilities when he successfully apprehends a gang of bank robbers - albeit by jeopardizing the life of a bank customer. Then the son of the Continental Bank Chairman, Srivastav, is abducted and held for ransom. Ali comes to know about this, intervenes, but is unable to save the child, resulting in considerable criticism of mishandling this incident. Then Ali's very own world is turned upside down when his daughter, Shagufta, who is to marry Naseerudin, the son of the Home Minister, Syed Noorudin Ahmed, is abducted along with Naseerudin. The question remains - with the lives of his loved ones in jeopardy - will Ali compromise with the kidnappers?
