Welcome to my Supermoto Build Series! In this series, I will be showing you the entire process of making a dirt bike street legal and converting it to a supermoto. This is being done on my 2015 Honda CRF450R. Powdercoating is an alternative to painting and is the go to method for switching up the color on different metal bits on your vehicle. What is Supermoto?

Lots of choices when you want to buy a supermoto. Got to figure out how your going to be using it, commuting, just f-ing around, both? Factory legal Supermoto or build one. How much do you have to spend and whats available. Your local laws. Will the wife kill you if you buy that? I could spend hours talking about each and every bike out there and how you could use them and what you could get away with. I could go on and on about which ones are super reliable and which ones you'll have to wrench on a lot. BUT we dont have time for that. Instead I'm giving my thoughts on kind of some overall ideas you should keep in mind when looking at supermotos. But YOU should do your research and find out whats best for YOU. There are SO MANY variables I just can not pick the best one for you. But your smart and you'll figure it out! So get it mate and do a WHEELIE!!!!!!!

Here is full coverage of one of the warm-up races staged during the British Supermoto Pre-season test last weekend.
It featured riders not usually part of the series, including Malachi Mitchell-Thomas, and the returning Matt Winstanley, who will be riding the series for the first time in a while.

Supermoto or Supermotard is motorcycle racing on a circuit that alternates between three types of track: flat track, motocross and road racing, using motorcycles designed for that purpose. Supermoto was originally conceived as something like an all-star game, in which the best riders from the three separate genres of motorcycle racing could temporarily leave their normal race class to come together and compete for the title of best all around racer. Today supermoto is a distinct genre of its own and riders in the other classes do not routinely cross over into supermoto.
Races are commonly held on road racing or medium sized go-kart tracks with an off-road section in the infield. Most supermoto race tracks have a tarmac size of 50-75% and the remaining percentage of the course is off-road. The dirt sections are usually constructed of packed clay and feature motocross style obstacles like bermed corners and jumps. This type of racing is also very portable in that an entire track can be constructed anywhere there is a large area of open asphalt and an availability of dirt. Supermoto races have also been successfully held in busy urban centers using closed city streets for the road course and a vacant lot for the dirt sections.

Welcome to my Supermoto Build Series! In this series, I will be showing you the entire process of making a dirt bike street legal and converting it to a supermoto. This is being done on my 2015 Honda CRF450R. I'll cover parts needed, requirements, a little bit of installation how-to, but most of all, having fun showing you the choices I make to build a super cool custom supermoto!
In this video (Part 3), I show you the whole powdercoating process. Powdercoating is an alternative to painting and is the go to method for switching up the color on different metal bits on your vehicle. In Part 1, we disassembled the bike to access the frame, subframe, swingarm, and other parts that would be going to powdercoating. In this video, I show you how it's done and reveal the colors! How much do you have to spend and whats available. Your local laws. Will the wife kill you if you buy that? I could spend hours talking about each and every bike out there and how you could use them and what you could get away with. I could go on and on about which ones are super reliable and which ones you'll have to wrench on a lot. BUT we dont have time for that. Instead I'm giving my thoughts on kind of some overall ideas you should keep in mind when looking at supermotos. But YOU should do your research and find out whats best for YOU.
