This is Track 09 of the Who's album - Who's next. First recorded (then rejected) in New York on March 16, 1971, this became the first song to be worked on with Glyn Johns during a trial session at Stargroves with The Rolling Stones Mobile studio in April, 1971. This version (unlike the New York original) used the synthesizer track from Pete's demo and was edited down for the single which reached #9 in the UK and #15 in the USA. Played onstage at the Young Vic and retained at every Who concert thereafter.

After watching The Who's sound check in Kansas City, Roger Daltrey invited Hudson on stage to play Zak Starkey's drums. Zak heard and came up to join him. It was Hudson's 10th birthday on April 29th, 2016. His only birthday wish was to see The Who one last time, so we made the trek from Austin to KC. They played one of the best shows we have ever seen. LOS ANGELES (AP) — It could be Woodstock 47 years later, only the drug of choice might be antacid — a weekend concert event featuring some of the greatest musical acts of the 1960s. Confirming weeks of rumors, Goldenvoice Entertainment announced Tuesday it is bringing together the top performers — really just from the 1960s — for a three-day blowout in California's Coachella Desert. Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, The Who, Paul McCartney, Neil Young and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters, all on stage at the Empire Polo Club in Indio during an October weekend.

The Who are an English rock band formed in 1964 by Roger Daltrey (lead vocals, harmonica and guitar), Pete Townshend (guitar, keyboards and vocals), John Entwistle (bass guitar, brass and vocals) and Keith Moon (drums and percussion). They became known for energetic live performances which often included instrument destruction. The Who have sold about 100 million records, and have charted 27 top forty singles in the United Kingdom and United States, as well as 17 top ten albums, with 18 Gold, 12 Platinum and 5 Multi-Platinum album awards in the United States alone.
The Who rose to fame in the UK with a series of top ten hit singles, boosted in part by pirate radio stations such as Radio Caroline, beginning in January 1965 with "I Can't Explain". The albums My Generation (1965), A Quick One (1966) and The Who Sell Out (1967) followed, with the first two reaching the UK top five. They first hit the US Top 40 in 1967 with "Happy Jack" and hit the top ten later that year with "I Can See for Miles". Their fame grew with memorable performances at the Monterey Pop,Woodstock and Isle of Wight music festivals. The 1969 release of Tommy was the first in a series of top ten albums in the US, followed by Live at Leeds (1970), Who's Next (1971), Quadrophenia (1973), The Who by Numbers (1975), Who Are You (1978) and The Kids Are Alright (1979).

This is Track 09 of the Who's album - Who's next. First recorded (then rejected) in New York on March 16, 1971, this became the first song to be worked on with Glyn Johns during a trial session at Stargroves with The Rolling Stones Mobile studio in April, 1971. This version (unlike the New York original) used the synthesizer track from Pete's demo and was edited down for the single which reached #9 in the UK and #15 in the USA. Played onstage at the Young Vic and retained at every Who concert thereafter. -

After watching The Who's sound check in Kansas City, Roger Daltrey invited Hudson on stage to play Zak Starkey's drums. Zak heard and came up to join him. It was Hudson's 10th birthday on April 29th, 2016. His only birthday wish was to see The Who one last time, so we made the trek from Austin to KC. They played one of the best shows we have ever seen. After watching The Who's sound check in Kansas City, Roger Daltrey invited Hudson on stage to play Zak Starkey's drums. Zak heard and came up to join him. It was Hudson's 10th birthday on April 29th, 2016. His only birthday wish was to see The Who one last time, so we made the trek from Austin to KC. They played one of the best shows we have ever seen. Jan Kubis told the UN Security Council that it was "evidence of the heinous crimes" IS had committed. The graves have been discovered in recent months as territory has been re-captured from IS. Coachella festival organizers have announced a new classic rock festival, Desert Trip, for this October at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., about two hours from Los Angeles. The festival, affectionately called "Oldchella" by fans, will run from Oct. 7-9 and feature an all-star cast, including Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, The Who and Pink Floyd....
