Poor app You click one article to read yet a completely different one opens, poor layout, too much clutter, just all around bad app which is a shame bc I've always enjoyed the Huffington post. I will be deleting the app.

Oh, HuffPost, you owe me an apology! DO NOT UPDATE! I wrote a critique warning that updates cause the app to lose your saved articles and section organization, and launch ads that force-redirect your app to commercial websites. Huff Post wrote a reply, assuring me those flaws had been fixed. Based on HuffPost's direct reply to me, I trusted them and updated my app. Just as I warned, I lost EVERY bookmarked story, and it reset EVERY preference, including undoing all section organizations. I can't believe I trusted them again.

Absolutely horrid news reporting, biased and unbalanced Sensationalism at its worst, copy and paste other major news sits articles, no original journalism or thought provoking reporting. Adheres to today's standards for liberal sensationalism. Laced with fact less articles only to invoke harsh feelings without disclosing Both sides. It's as bad as fox news is for liberals. Also have no interest in free speech,as they regulate their comment section like Communist, deleting and blocking anyone who disagrees or has a different opinion then theirs..

Not really loving the layout and style anymore. While reading the news in the morning, I can't scroll through the front page without the screen refreshing every few seconds. And the headline just looks like it's a tabloid. Must be my age speaking...

Sub-par I've had this app for over a year and I often find typos and stories not updated. Shoddy.

Hi matt, we coded all preferences, bookmarks, and favorites to save when updating the app. Sorry you're having issues with that, it's definitely a fully functional and tested feature on the vast majority of modern Android phones. We're also working to resolve the popup ads asap!! Hi Maxine, the refreshing strategy will be noticeably improved in the next update. I'm sure it'll be more satisfactory. 16.1.3 is scheduled for release next Thursday. Great app, most of the time No matter what your interests, HuffPost has a page for you. Great variety, though maybe a bit too much duplication between pages. Don't understand one person's review about only having 4 pages. I just installed the upgrade and I still have my favorites as well as any I want to add from the 'All Sections' link. All in all, very satisfied. Only one real issue: Apparently Huffpost doesn't believe in copy-editors; from the standpoint of grammar and mechanical aspects of writing, it's simply atrocious. Help!
Ad blocks content They put an ad at the bottom of the page. It blocks the headlines of 2 stories at the bottom. Impossible to read. Just stupid.
Huffington Post 17 May 2016
Hi Don, scroll down the page and the ads hide, scroll up the page and the ads show. Ads do not block content, they actually get out of your way exactly when you want them to :-) Loads ads before news App loads add, but struggling to load news articles. Says it all really.
Used to be a great app. Very biased now. Generic, with generic features.

Hi Rob, sorry for the trouble you're having. If you're having issues downloading, I recommend clearing the Google Play Store app data. In the Android main settings - Applications - Manage Applications, open the Play Store and clear the data. Hopefully that'll help get things working. Doesn't even deserve one star This crap says I have no internet connection when I do huff post goodbye good riddance. I won't read you in any format ever again.
Huffington Post 9 May 2016
Hi Brian, there is no message in our app that says "No Internet", although there is a message that says "There was a problem connecting to HuffPost. Please check your connection and try again". That means your device failed to connect to our server, which may be an issue on our end or on your end. There's a convenient "Retry" button now :-) Frustrating experience Every time this app updated itself, my preferences in it were reset. The most recent update does not allow the removal of sections, causing all of the sections to appear when swiping through the app. I really didn't want to see the entertainment section or the TV section, as well as 15-20 of the other sections. Too annoying to continue to put up with. It is as if the devs never actually tested the update in any meaningful manner. Deleted.
Updates are always a mess I appreciate the political slant but this app has always been full of annoyances. Almost every update forces you to reset favorites and options. Saved articles get lost, etc. It's almost more annoying than its worth.
Huffington Post 4 May 2016
Hi, updates are designed to save all settings, options, and saved articles. As of the current version, 16.1.2 this system is definitely fully functional. Sorry for the issues you're having, we've definitely considered them in the development process though :-) Looks like Drudge Report now This app goes downhill with every update. Latest update made the app look like Drudge Report with the multiple headlines on the top entry. Also, why remove the dark theme for night reading? Nice that they finally added the built in comments back into the app, but they should have never been removed in the first place. Edit: Since the last update, HuffPo keeps opening the Google Play Store and sending me to the Yelp app download page every few articles.
Very poor I found this app mostly unresponsive and, when it did respond, incredibly slow. One of the worst apps I've made the mistake of downloading.

A rooted Nook HD with a custom Ice Cream Sandwich rom? I'm surprised and happy the app actually installed and opened on your device :-) Sorry for the difficulties you're having though, we're going to try and keep supporting Android 4.0.x a little bit longer hopefully into next year. Feel welcome to try again anytime, thanks for reading HuffPost! Why the lack of a "night mode"/"dark theme"? It's better for the battery and better for the eyes. Can't give more than three stars until then.
Huffington Post 21 April 2016
Hi Tim, It's a current item we're working on. You'll have a night mode feature likely soon. Review deleted
