A public space is a social space that is generally open and accessible to people. Roads (including the pavement), public squares, parks and beaches are typically considered public space. To a limited extent, government buildings which are open to the public, such as public libraries are public spaces, although they tend to have restricted areas and greater limits upon use. Although not considered public space, privately owned buildings or property visible from sidewalks and public thoroughfares may affect the public visual landscape, for example, by outdoor advertising. Recently, the concept of Shared space has been advanced to enhance the experience of pedestrians in public space jointly used by automobiles and other vehicles.
Public space has also become something of a touchstone for critical theory in relation to philosophy, (urban) geography, visual art, cultural studies, social studies and urban design. The term 'public space' is also often misconstrued to mean other things such as 'gathering place', which is an element of the larger concept of social space.
In-Public (sometimes written iN-PUBLiC) is a group of street photographers that operates as a collective. It was established in 2000 by Nick Turpin with the intention of bringing together like minded photographers to hold exhibitions, produce books and conduct workshops. It was the first international collective of street photographers. Its geographically disparate membership is facilitated by the Internet. New members are accepted but the recruitment process is "haphazard and organic".
In-Public's website states:
"In Public" is a song by American singer-songwriter Kelis, featuring American rapper Nas. It was released on April 4, 2005 as the fourth and final single from Kelis' third studio album, Tasty (2003). The song was written by Rockwilder and Kelis, with former also producing the track.
Like previous singles "Trick Me" and "Millionaire", "In Public" was not released in Kelis' native United States. Although no music video was filmed for the song, it managed to reach number 17 on the UK Singles Chart. The track was originally due to be released as a double A-side single with the track "Glow", although this did not happen and a reason for the change has never been given.
"In Public" was met with mixed reviews from music critics. Adam Webb of Yahoo! Music cited the song as one of Tasty's highlights, stating that it "espouses the delights of al fresco sex over a clinical electro beat and features a filthy rap courtesy of new husband Nas. Suffice to say it leaves Beyonce and Jay-Z sounding like Mary Whitehouse and Cliff Richard." Conversely, Andy Kellman of AllMusic viewed the track as one of the album's "miscues thwarting perfection" and advised listeners to skip past it.
In public relations and communication science, publics are groups of individual people, and the public (a.k.a. the general public) is the totality of such groupings. This is a different concept to the sociological concept of the Öffentlichkeit or public sphere. The concept of a public has also been defined in political science, psychology, marketing, and advertising. In public relations and communication science, it is one of the more ambiguous concepts in the field. Although it has definitions in the theory of the field that have been formulated from the early 20th century onwards, it has suffered in more recent years from being blurred, as a result of conflation of the idea of a public with the notions of audience, market segment, community, constituency, and stakeholder.
The name "public" originates with the Latin publicus (also poplicus), from populus, and in general denotes some mass population ("the people") in association with some matter of common interest. So in political science and history, a public is a population of individuals in association with civic affairs, or affairs of office or state. In social psychology, marketing, and public relations, a public has a more situational definition.John Dewey defined (Dewey 1927) a public as a group of people who, in facing a similar problem, recognize it and organize themselves to address it. Dewey's definition of a public is thus situational: people organized about a situation. Built upon this situational definition of a public is the situational theory of publics by James E. Grunig (Grunig 1983), which talks of nonpublics (who have no problem), latent publics (who have a problem), aware publics (who recognize that they have a problem), and active publics (who do something about their problem).
Public is the third album (the first on a major label) by Emm Gryner, released in 1998.
The album, released on Mercury Records, was not a strong seller, and Gryner was subsequently dropped from the label after Mercury was acquired by Universal Music. She revived her own independent label, Dead Daisy Records, for her next release, Science Fair, which ironically sold significantly more copies than Public despite its more limited distribution and marketing.
In 2006, Gryner released PVT, a limited edition album featuring rerecorded versions of songs from Public. PVT was initially released only as a bonus disc with preordered copies of Gryner's 2006 album The Summer of High Hopes. It was later offered as a separate purchase.
See its this thing (Kelis)

(Ohh Yeah Let's Go)
He was next to me
Our flight was supposed to leave around 2:53
All I wanted to see
Is what would he do if i dropped down to my knees
I wanna play a game
Is someone coming, it don't matter just the same.
Try something fun with me
Let's take our clothes off all over the balcony
Let's get it on in public
Just let it go I promise that you'll love it
Oh daddy don't you wanna be my subject
Ooh let's get it on in public Ooh
Don't try to run from me
I'll make your toes curl up and make your body scream
Come take a walk with me
We can do it over there by all the trees
Drive this car real fast
I'll lay my head down and ill make your body blast ow
Let's get it on in public
Just let it go I promise that you'll love it
Oh daddy don't you wanna be my subject
Ooh let's get it on in public Ooh
Let's make a movie baby
Can we get away with it (Open your legs) (I'll be your animal)
All lights on
I like it when we do it to this song
Let's make a movie baby
Can we get away with it (Your so nasty)
All lights on
I like it when we do it to this song (Talk To Me)
The pussy or the mouth, that is the question
Like Shakespeare but my erection is the case here
I ain't got time to drive you all the way home
But instead I can slide you to a club bathroom or a restaurant men's room
Then I can zoom in your womb.
We both get what we want
Then we can assume
We doin what we want
Smokin that bud and chillin'
But first I gotta nut before anything you willin?
You wit it, its animal behavior.
La chic, la freak out, with the sexy beast ma who slays ya
This is for the mature who love natural love making
Outdoors, On the hood of your car
Nas is good at it all when it comes to gettin it raw
Do I have to convince ya naw
We don't need hotel key
We jump in the truck and stain everything up.
Slide your g-string up
Let's get it on in public
Just let it go I promise that you'll love it
Oh daddy don't you wanna be my subject
Ooh let's get it on in public Ooh
Let's get it on in public
Just let it go I promise that you'll love it
Oh daddy don't you wanna be my subject
