Preventing the hair from getting wet was the original purpose of a swimming cap before swimming became a sport. Now, individuals use swim caps to move quicker with the water, to protect their hair from staining due to chlorine, to be more noticeable, and to be more stylish.
Ways to put the swim cap on is accomplished by pushing your hands together in a vertical position inside the swim cap with the facility of the swim cap resting on the fingertips of both hands and the sides of the swim cap resting on the back of both hands. With the fingertips still touching, pull the wrists apart developing an opening where to place you going.
Start by putting your forehead in first between your hands and slide the back down towards your neck. People with very long hair will have to put their hair into a bun on the top of their head before putting the swim cap on.

A swim cap, swimming cap or bathing cap, is a silicone, latex or lycra cap worn on the head by recreational and competitive swimmers.
Caps are worn for various reasons. Some facilities require the wearing of swim caps, in order to protect filters from becoming clogged with loose hairs which fall from the scalp of swimmers who are not wearing a cap. Caps are also sometimes worn in an attempt to keep the hair relatively dry or free from chlorinated water, to keep the sun off of the hair, and also, when a cap is worn with ear plugs, in order to keep water out of the ears.
Competitive swim caps are made of tightly fitted silicone, latex, or lycra that hugs the skull of its user, providing cover for his or her hair. This reduces drag in the water caused by loose hair. During longer swimming sessions, a swim cap keeps the head warm.

Ways to put the swim cap on is accomplished by pushing your hands together in a vertical position inside the swim cap with the facility of the swim cap resting on the fingertips of both hands and the sides of the swim cap resting on the back of both hands. With the fingertips still touching, pull the wrists apart developing an opening where to place you going.
Start by putting your forehead in first between your hands and slide the back down towards your neck. People with very long hair will have to put their hair into a bun on the top of their head before putting the swim cap on.

He had told me about the time he was injured and took up swimming. It just so happened that there was a lap pool at a nearby high school that permitted people to swim laps around lunchtime every day. So I bought a bathing suit, a swim cap and some goggles and I hit the pool. Boy was I in for a surprise! Swimming was much, much harder than I had thought ... I felt like I was in horrible shape after swimming as hard as I could for 30 minutes....
