The Korean Olympic Committee in a media event on Wednesday said that it aims to finish in the top 10 for the fourth consecutive Olympics with more than 10 gold medals.

Korea ranked fifth in the final medal table at the 2012 London Olympics, up from seventh in Beijing in 2008 and ninth in Athens in 2004.

The national team's uniforms were also unveiled with athletes modeling them. The uniform for the opening and closing ceremonies was inspired by hanbok, or traditional Korean dress, and insect-proof material was used to protect against the Zika virus.

The national team will depart for Brazil on July 27, about a week before the opening of the Olympics on Aug. 5.
