(father and brother of Latoya Williams) Released the summer of 2008, Thank Him for the Rain, through crafty production and exquisite musicianship pushed Gospel music to the forefront. Known for his trademark double neck guitar Leroy Williams (the father) vision became a reality, teaming with his son Dewayne Williams, then a high school student to create this masterwork. The artists combine influences ranging from Earth Wind and Fire, and Michael Jackson, to the Winans, The Flecktones, and even progressive rock groups like Dream Theater. Production began when Dewayne was a Jr High student, but a fire delayed completion until he'd nearly completed high school. In 2003, the album caught the attention of promoters building an artist roster for a joint production between Southern Gospel sensation Bill Gaither and Bishop TD Jakes. This provided opportunity for the Williams to share the stage with many of the biggest stars from both urban and southern gospel music, including The Gaithers, Smokey Norful, Mary Mary, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, and many more. In 2006 Pastor Leroy and Dewayne Williams where featured in a book written by John Engel entitled "Uncommon Sound, the Left Handed Guitar Players that Changed Music", along with Jimi Hendrix, Sir Paul McCartney, and many other great artists.
