CCLI License Scam My opinion about the CCLI License.

In this video, I describe my opinion about the CCLI License issue. Many will find this frustration to hear, but if you are a worship leader or a pastor you should listen. Remember, you cannot make photocopies of copy-written songs or copies of video or audio for use in a worship service with or without a license. CCLI's license does not protect you from copy write infringement, the law does. "religious worship services are exempt from copyright infringement" Reasons not to buy a CCLI.COM license: 1. CCLI treats churches like bars and taverns and sells licenses according to the size of the congregation. 2. You already have all the rights you need to use songs in Worship service without a license. 3. Non-CCLI artists get shunned by the Body of Christ. 4. CCLI keeps a large portion of the money. 5. Jesus said not to make His Father's house a marketplace. 6. Worship Services are exempt from Copyright Infringment. 7. CCLI.COM is a monopoly and charge whatever they want and dole out whatever they want. 8. CCLI.COM has turned the songwriters into profiteers and bullies by threatinging lawsuits based on copyright infringment which they cannot and DO NOT protect you from with a CCLI.COM License. 9. CCLI.COM was founded by the person who lost a lawsuit of copyright infringement. If you did what he did you would still lose even with a license. 10. All worship belongs to God. Not permitting Christians to use a song in Church services for free means it is not God's song but yours. 11. CCLI Artists and Churches have been tricked into thinking the license contract actually protects you in some way. 12. King David did not copyright his songs and restrict anyone from singing them. 13. Songwriters are worth their pay if they go get a job. To many Christians use CCLI as a get rich plan. 14. The Top 100 CCLI.COM songs are not always the best songs, just the most used. 15. For every one songwriter making a living with CCLI.COM, 1000 do not. 16. The bible says to "Sing a new song", not keep rehashing the old ones. 17. In the old testament, after the temple priests were provided for, the poor where given money for food according to their need. Since CCLI.COM collects money soley from Worship, they should be held to a higher standard. 18. The bible says lying is a sin. Leading people to believe that the CCLI.COM license protects you from Copyright Infringemnet is misleading. Reasons to Cancel your CCLI.COM contract: 1. Your church does not need a license. 2. You do not need a contract to permit use of your songs. 3. You should rethink your motivation for signing a contract with CCLI.COM. 4. You can find many good songs for free use on the internet. 5. As a songwriter, what is your motivation?
