The Most Scary Monastery in the World: Here You Will Know Life is Easy, Why Do We Make It So Hard!
Tashi Delek!
This is a special journey to Damo Monastery, the most scaring monastery in Ngachu, Tibet.
There is a sky burial platform on the hillside near the monastery, which is the place where the locals hold the traditional sky burial.

You can see skulls of people who died a hundred years ago, and also skulls of people who died just a few days ago. Death is the only thing that never changes with time, right?

TIBET: Why does CHINA want to KEEP IT so BADLY? - VisualPolitik EN

Tibet: Journey Into The Himalayas
This is a short documentary film I made last year in May 2018. It was shot during my short time in the Eastern Tibetan region of Kham situated in the South-Western Chinese Province of Sichuan.
Tibetans are an ethnic minority whose history spans centuries into the past and whose cultural sphere is spread out across the entire Himalayan Mountain Range, from Myanmar to
Afghanistan, Nepal to Mongolia. Today, Tibetans live all over the world, with small pockets of their diaspora found in many parts of the globe. But none other than their home of Tibet holds a vast landscape of serene beauty compared to anywhere else.
This short film follows the travels of a young man as he witnesses a society who live one with nature among a pristine backdrop of snowcapped mountains, friendly yaks and omnipresent influence of Tibetan Buddhism. In their daily lives, herding yaks and participating in Buddhist rituals encompass the majority of their time. Some parts of the plateau are home to ancient monasteries where traditional woodblock printing and painting are still practised. While other sections of the plateau are home to the historic practice of the Sky Burial, a Tibetan Buddhist funeral practice whereby the deceased is placed on a mountain top and decomposed by the elements and being eaten by vultures.
Land of vast landscapes, gorgeous yaks, friendly nomads and colourful culture and tradition, Tibet is definitely a jewel of anthropology and geography. One of my all-time most memorable trips.
If you've been to this region, let me know what your thoughts are in the comments below, would love to hear what you think!

Tashi Delek!
This is a special journey to Damo Monastery, the most scaring monastery in Ngachu, Tibet.
There is a sky burial platform on the hillside near the monastery, which is the place where the locals hold the traditional sky burial.
What makes the monastery unusual is the scaring skull wall. The walls of the courtyard for sky burial are full of skulls of people who were sky buried here.
You can see skulls of people who died a hundred years ago, and also skulls of people who died just a few days ago. Death is the only thing that never changes with time, right?
Most people think that death belongs to tomorrow. But that’s not true.
While facing the wall of skulls, you will feel the death is actually right in front of your eyes. There are skulls of adults and kids. You see, time does not matter.
You never know when the unexpected will come. So you just cherish every second of the present and what you have now.
Thanks to my friend, a simple local nomad man, for showing me around this mysterious temple. The skull of his ancestor is also here.
From the bottom of my heart, I wish all of you live happily and hopefully.

Tibet is the poorest region in China. For centuries, they had a political system based on a kind of feudalism mixed with a Buddhist theocracy where the Dalai Lama was the religious and political leader. But all of that changed in 1950, with the Chinese invasion led by Mao Zedong. Since then, Tibetans have suffered constant human rights violations and marginalization from the Chinese Communist Party.
But you already know this. Few causes have gained more political support worldwide than “Free Tibet”. The current Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize and Hollywood stars like Richard Gere have been very vocal supporting the independence of Tibet from China. Meanwhile, Beijing is not willing to give up on this. They have turned Tibet into a symbol. And all of this is surprising given that this region has a very small population and has been virtually isolated from the rest of the world for centuries.
Why does China care so much about this? And why does the rest of the world care so much about it too? In this video, we will answer all of these questions.

Tibetian Uprising in Countryballs
The 1959 Tibetan uprising or the 1959 Tibetan rebellion began on 10 March 1959, when a revolt erupted in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Area, which had been under the effective control of the People's Republic of China since the Seventeen Point Agreement was reached in 1951.[2] Armed conflict between Tibetan guerillas and the People's Liberation Army (PLA) had started in 1956 in the Kham and Amdo regions, which had been subjected to socialist reform. The guerrilla warfare later spread to other areas of Tibet and lasted through 1962.

Rethinking Mongolia's History | Dr. Batsaikhan Ookhnoi
Event: ACMS Speaker Series
Speaker: Dr. Batsaikhan Ookhnoi, Mongolian Academy of Sciences
Title of Presentation: Rethinking Mongolian History: Mongolian National Revolution of 1911 and The Last Emperor of Mongolia, VIII Bogdo Jebtsundamba Khutukhtu
Date: October 15, 2019
In his lecture, Professor Batsaikhan Ookhnoi reconsiders the role of the 8th Jebtsundamba – in rough terms, the Mongolian equivalent of Tibet’s Dalai Lama at the time – in engineering the national independence of Mongolia from the Qing Empire in 1911. The facts and interpretation of this event are particularly important since, as asserted in his description, it is “the most special historical event that has occurred in the lives of Mongols during the past three hundred years.” Given the heavily propagandized view of...

The facts and interpretation of this event are particularly important since, as asserted in his description, it is “the most special historical event that has occurred in the lives of Mongols during the past three hundred years.” Given the heavily propagandized view of Mongolian history that was developed during the Stalinist and the longer socialist era in Mongolia – including demeaning and disparaging characterizations of the 8th Jebtsundamba and of Buddhism generally – such reconsiderations of Mongolian history are especially important and significant at the present time, that is, as the nation asserts its values and its history in relation to its course for the future.
In this time, Professor Batsaikhan argues for the strategically intelligent, foresightful, and politically effective role of the 8th Jebtsundamba in engineering Mongolian independence, including the successful strategic management of Mongolian relations with Russia, China, and also internally vis-à-vis powerful Mongolian nobles and clans.
Professor Batsaikhan Ookhnoi is working at the Institute of International Studies, Mongolian Academy of Sciences since 2010. He was a visiting Professor at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Cambridge University, UK, Tohoku University, Japan.
His research interests lie in the modern area of international relations in Asia in the 20th Century, with emphasis in the around Mongolia, and complex historical area analysis. He also has an active interest in the area of the secret history of Sino–Soviet relations. He is interested in developing and analyzing Mongolian international history from the end of 19 Century and beginning of the 20th Century for problems in these areas.
He is the author and editor of five books, including Mongolian independence and Kiakhta Agreement of 1915 Between China, Russia and Mongolia (2002), Mongolia: becoming a nation state (1911-1946) (2005), Diary of I.Ia.Korostovets, Russian Plenipotentiary in Mongolia in 1912-1913 (2010), and most recently, The history of Modern Mongolia (1911-2017) (2018).

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Tibet ( (listen); Tibetan: བོད་, Lhasa dialect IPA: /pʰøː˨˧˩/; Chinese: 西藏; pinyin: Xīzàng) is a historical region covering much of the Tibetan Plateau in Inner Asia. It is the traditional homeland of the Tibetan people as well as some other ethnic groups such as Monpa, Tamang, Qiang, Sherpa, and Lhoba peoples and is now also inhabited by considerable numbers of Han Chinese and Hui people. Tibet is the highest region on Earth, with an average elevation of 4,900 metres (16,000 ft). The highest elevation in Tibet is Mount Everest, Earth's highest mountain, rising 8,848 m (29,029 ft) above sea level.
The Tibetan Empire emerged in the 7th century, but with the fall of the empire the region soon divided into a variety of territories. The bulk of western and central Tibet (Ü-Tsang) was often at least nominally unified under a series of Tibetan governments in Lhasa, Shigatse, or nearby locations; these governments were at various times under Mongol and Chinese overlordship. Thus Tibet remained a suzerainty of the Mongol and later Chinese rulers in Nanjing and Beijing, with reasonable autonomy given to the Tibetan leaders. The eastern regions of Kham and Amdo often maintained a more decentralized indigenous political structure, being divided among a number of small principalities and tribal groups, while also often falling more directly under Chinese rule after the Battle of Chamdo; most of this area was eventually incorporated into the Chinese provinces of Sichuan and Qinghai. The current borders of Tibet were generally established in the 18th century.Following the Xinhai Revolution against the Qing dynasty in 1912, Qing soldiers were disarmed and escorted out of Tibet Area (Ü-Tsang). The region subsequently declared its independence in 1913 without recognition by the subsequent Chinese Republican government. Later, Lhasa took control of the western part of Xikang, China. The region maintained its autonomy until 1951 when, following the Battle of Chamdo, Tibet became incorporated into the People's Republic of China, and the previous Tibetan government was abolished in 1959 after a failed uprising. Today, China governs western and central Tibet as the Tibet Autonomous Region while the eastern areas are now mostly ethnic autonomous prefectures within Sichuan, Qinghai and other neighbouring provinces. There are tensions regarding Tibet's political status and dissident groups that are active in exile.
Tibetan activists in Tibet have reportedly been arrested or tortured. The economy of Tibet is dominated by subsistence agriculture, though tourism has become a growing industry in recent decades. The dominant religion in Tibet is Tibetan Buddhism; in addition there is Bön, which is similar to Tibetan Buddhism, and there are also Tibetan Muslims and Christian minorities. Tibetan Buddhism is a primary influence on the art, music, and festivals of the region. Tibetan architecture reflects Chinese and Indian influences. Staple foods in Tibet are roasted barley, yak ...

When the Iranian military noticed a strange blip on their radars, they sent fighter jets out to investigate the strange signal, but what they discovered was the most shocking thing ever! In today's amazing true story we are bringing you the crazy encounter Iranian pilots had with actual UFO's. Why would UFO's be circling Iran? This story is completely insane, and we are sure aliens are plotting something, but what exactly is their plan, we may never know.

Binlerce insanın canına mal olabilen depremler, on binlerce insanı da evsiz bırakabilir.
