Bled (German: Veldes) is a town and a municipality in northwestern Slovenia in the region of Upper Carniola. The area, within the Julian Alps, is a popular tourist destination.
A settlement area since Mesolithic times, Bled was first mentioned as Ueldes (Veldes) within the March of Carniola on April 10, 1004, when it was awarded by Emperor Henry II to Bishop Albuin I of Brixen. Bled Castle was first mentioned in a 22 May 1011 deed in which Henry II donated it to Albuin's successor, Bishop Adalberon of Brixen. With Carniola, Bled was ceded to Rudolph of Habsburg after he defeated King Ottokar II of Bohemia at the Battle on the Marchfeld in 1278. From 1364 until 1919, Bled (Veldes) was part of the Duchy of Carniola, except for a stint between 1809 and 1816 as one of the Napoleonic Illyrian Provinces
After the dissolution of Austria-Hungary in 1918, Bled came under the rule of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and became a summer domicile of the ruling House of Karađorđević, a tradition that President Josip Broz Tito continued, when he built his residence here in 1947. Bled became an independent municipality in 1996. In 2000, Bled became the home of IEDC-Bled School of Management.

After being animator on the series "Opération séduction aux Caraïbes" (an adaptation of the Harem TV show), Ariane was columnist on a talk show hosted by Elsa Fayer on Fun TV.
Then Ariane began co-presenting a new edition of "Morning Live" on Fun TV with Cyril Hanouna.
After a meteorology course, she became weather girl on M6. During this time, Ariane also hosted these programs:
For 2 years, Ariane had been hosting two music programs on M6:
Ariane presented a program "One Day With". In this program, she was spending a day in the life of a singer.
On 2 August 2008, Ariane left M6 Channel. In September, she joined France 2 where she works as a columnist in Julien Courbet's program "Service Maximum".

We’re going to be staying in a little town called Bled Slovenia. It’s so quiet here. We’re woken up nice and early here in Bled We’re going to go around the lake and So this island here has a really long religious worship history. You can hear this bell dinging in the background, and it’s very popular to come here and ring the bell and make a wish, and apparently it comes true. Yeah, as long as you don’t tell people what you wished. Shall we go and ring it? Yeah let’s go. We’re in the church, and here is the famous rope for the bell. You’re supposed to make a wish and pull the rope three times. And then eventually it will come true. Ok. I won’t tell you what my dream is though. It’s pouring down now. We had a great day here in Bled. When we got off the boat and got back to the apartment, it started raining. We’re going to carry on enjoying ourselves and try a traditional Slovenian cake called cream cake. It was actually invented here at Park Hotel in Bled. So we’re going to try the real cake, the real recipe and see what it’s like.
Ok so this is the famous cream cake. It’s really good, very creamy. It’s very light. And not at all as sweet as I thought. But it’s still really—This was the place it was invented as well, so this is the secret, the best recipe apparently. The best cake in the whole of Slovenia. We had a great day here in Bled. My legs are really sore from the walk up to the viewpoint. I’m really exhausted. But it was a great view and the church on the island was amazing as well. So this is a great way to finish our time here in Bled. We’re off to Zagreb tomorrow in Croatia.

The train station is sited above a hollowed-out glacier that later became Bled Lake, one of the warmest lakes in the Alps. The Austro-Hungarian monarchy required a second railway connection between Vienna and Trieste. Its planning took more than thirty years and it took five years to construct: tunnels were blasted out of the rock, narrow valleys used to their best advantage, and amazing bridges constructed. With the completion of this railroad, the railway network connected Vienna and Central Europe with the Adriatic regions of the K and K monarchy. On this journey we have travelled on the youngest of the ‘steam ladies’ of the Ljubljana Railway Museum. The 33-037 weighs a hundred and thirty six tons, is twenty three metres long and its tender can take nine tons of coal. The Bohinj Museum Train is a fabulous experience. Not one to be missed!

Each summer, in Jesenice in the north of today’s EU Member State of Slovenia,an historical steam train travels through the Triglav National Park and both the Bača and Soča Valleys, to Nova Gorica.The first stop is Bled Jezero. Several actors are on the train, dressed as conductors in the uniforms of the old empire, a special touch that adds to the wonderful atmosphere. The train station is sited above a hollowed-out glacier that later became Bled Lake, one of the warmest lakes in the Alps. The Austro-Hungarian monarchy required a second railway connection between Vienna and Trieste. Its planning took more than thirty years and it took five years to construct: tunnels were blasted out of the rock, narrow valleys used to their best advantage, and amazing bridges constructed. With the completion of this railroad, the railway network connected Vienna and Central Europe with the Adriatic regions of the K and K monarchy. On this journey we have travelled on the youngest of the ‘steam ladies’ of the Ljubljana Railway Museum. The 33-037 weighs a hundred and thirty six tons, is twenty three metres long and its tender can take nine tons of coal. The Bohinj Museum Train is a fabulous experience. Not one to be missed!

We want to share with you our loving relationship, our student lives as well as our home, which is actually all the way in Bahrain, in the Middle East!
