Christ (Greek Χριστός (Khristós) 'anointed') is a translation of the Hebrew מָשִׁיחַ (Māšîaḥ), the Messiah, and is used as a title for Jesus in the New Testament.
Followers of Jesus became known as Christians (as in Acts 11:26) because they believed Jesus to be the messiah (Christos) prophesied in the Hebrew Bible – therefore they often call him Jesus Christ, meaning Jesus the Christos. The word was originally a title, but later became part of the name "Jesus Christ", yet it is still also used as a title, in the reciprocal use Christ Jesus, meaning "The Messiah Jesus". In common usage – even within secular circles – "Christ" is generally treated as synonymous with "Jesus of Nazareth".
Jesus has never been accepted by most Jews as their Messiah. Even the Canonical Gospels recount some Rejection of Jesus. Nonetheless, Nicene Christians await the Second Coming of Christ when they believe he will fulfill the rest of the Christian Messianic prophecy.
The area of Christian theology called Christology is primarily concerned with the nature and person of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Canonical gospels and the letters of the New Testament.
Show me show me (3xs)
What about, w-what about the one?
Hold up can anybody really tell me why we stand up
And shout and dance, waving our hands without a purpose
Cause everything I hear today is really really catchy catchy
But I can't quite catch on to the real real message.
*The way, the truth, the life is still Christ but
How would you know from what is shown?
Between what's right and wrong is there separation?
I wanna know where we wen't wrong.
**What about the C.H.R.I.S.T?
Somebody tell me. Somebody tell me.
Why don't we still B.E.L.I.E.V.E
He never changes? His word is ageless
Well here's a wake up call,
Are you for him or against him?
Don't you know that you're losing time-time?
So show me show me.
I wanna see what you're saying.
Don't need no wishy-washy-ness.
That's just not the way we act. No-uh-uh.
Uh-uh~, Oh-uh-uh~, Uh-uh~
What about the one, one?
We're fighting for the only one
Who was and is and is to come.
Will you be ready (when he appears?)
Or will you give in to what sounds good,
Looks good, feels good? Am I understood?

What you see on MTV, in magazines,
And what society says you should be
Is all designed to deceive and distract you
From the one who died for you.
