Ian Black (born 14 March 1985) is a Scottish footballer who plays for Shrewsbury Town. He plays as a central midfielder.
Black has previously played for Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Heart of Midlothian and Rangers. Black made one appearance for Scotland in August 2012, despite playing at that time in the Scottish Third Division (for Rangers).
Black began as a youth player with Tranent Boys Club. He was also a youth player at Hibernian, where he played alongside Scott Brown. Black first signed a professional contract with English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers F.C. He never played in the Blackburn first team and was subsequently freed with two other Scottish youth players. All three players went to the north of Scotland, Black to Inverness CT, and the other two to Elgin City. In his early days at Inverness, Black also played for Elgin City on loan from Inverness. He joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle in July 2004. Black made his debut as a substitute on 7 August 2004 against Livingston, with his first start coming on 9 April 2005 against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. In his first season he made 13 appearances.
Ian Henderson Black (27 March 1924 – 13 December 2012) was a Scottish football goalkeeper. Black played for Aberdeen, Southampton and Fulham, and also played one game for Scotland.
Having been born in 1924, Black's early football career was disrupted by the Second World War, during which he made guest appearances for both Southampton and Chelsea, winning the South Final of the Football League War Cup with the latter. He was transferred by Aberdeen, who held his permanent registration, to Southampton in December 1947. He made nearly 100 league appearances for Southampton, and made his only appearance for Scotland, a 2–0 defeat by England, at Hampden Park, while he was with the club.
Black was transferred to Fulham in 1950 in exchange for Hugh Kelly, and made over 250 league appearances for that club. He moved down to the Southern League to play for Bath City, with whom he won a Southern League Championship and a Somerset Premier Cup in 1960, followed by a Southern League Runners-up place in 1962. He then moved to Canterbury City. He retired from football in 1964.

Plot: At Secure Data Systems, an office in an Ohio suburb, Nancy hesitates as she enters the break room where Ian, a solitary co-worker, sits reading the paper and watching the news on TV. She uses the microwave and sits across from Ian. They talk about Maureen, a recently-murdered co-worker. Ian has a stack of photos on the table that Nancy starts to leaf through - they're of a recent company cook-out. Maureen appears in some of them; Nancy is fascinated and horrified at the same time to see someone recently alive, now bludgeoned to death. There are flashbacks to the party, Ian leaves the room, and Nancy keeps looking through the photos. Are revelations in store?
