Sea Launch And Its Amazing Ocean Going Rocket Launch Site
Sea Launch was a launch provider who offered launched to geostationary orbit from a floating launch platform in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This enabled them to deliver satellites closer to the target orbit than any of their competitors, using rockets that had been developed during the cold war.
It was a collaboration between multiple organizations and while it went well initially it eventually struggled, went bankrupt and stopped launching in 2014 after the launch vehicle became a victim of politics.

Space Shuttle Launch Audio - play LOUD (no music) HD 1080p
- - Created through FAIR USE for educational purposes - - STS-121
You need a sound system with a lot of power and a great sub (turned up to house shaking level) to get the right effect of this video. I made this for all the people who dreamed of seeing a launch in person but were never able to make the trip themselves.
Using dozens of different video sources and countless audio versions of Shuttle launches I mixed this little clip together to mimic as close an experience to the real thing as I could. I know that the exact sequence of countdown events is somewhat compressed and not time-accurate but I was going more for the 'feel' of a high energy launch experience rather than a technical documentary. The Equator Is a Bad Place for These Rocket Launches
Some satellites orbit in the same direction the planet rotates, which means they get a boost for their launch, but most have orbits where that isn’t ideal, and that creates some challenges for engineers.

STS-129 HD Launch
Space shuttle Atlantis and its six-member crew began an 11-day delivery flight to the International Space Station on Monday with a 2:28 p.m. EST launch from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The shuttle will transport spare hardware to the outpost and return a station crew member who spent more than two months in space.
Atlantis is carrying about 30,000 pounds of replacement parts for systems that provide power to the station, keep it from overheating, and maintain a proper orientation in space. The large equipment can best be transported using the shuttle's unique capabilities.

Throttle Up and SRB Separation are sounds as might be heard from onboard acoustic transducers picking up resonant vibration in the vehicle's structure.
Please take care not to damage your sound equipment during playback. I did not do anything to boost the low frequency roar of the Shuttle during liftoff but the SRB and SSME thrust noise may be taxing to even high quality sub-woofers and speaker cones if played too loud.
For those who sit through the last few frames you can catch a glimpse of my home theater system I built a couple of years ago. This video really is best viewed at 165 inches or better!

Why NASA Spews Out Half A Million Gallons Of Water During Rocket Launches
Following is the transcript of the video:
Alex Appolonia: This is almost half a million gallons of water being blasted a hundred feet into the air.
The most impressive part? It was all done in just 60 seconds.
NASA created the massive fountain as part of a test for its Space Launch System, scheduled to launch for the first time in 2020.
It will be the largest, most powerful rocket NASA has ever built. Standing upright, the SLS will reach 322 feet in height, 17 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty, and weigh almost 6 million pounds.
Its first planned mission? A 25-day trip around the moon.
When it lifts off, its engines will generate 8.4 million pounds of force and sound waves so powerful that they could easily destroy the rocket from the ground up.
That's where NASA's Ignition Overpressure and Sound Suppression System comes in. NASA projects the water onto and over the launchpad during ignition and liftoff. This not only protects the ground from the rocket's engines it also prevents the sound waves from bouncing off the ground and back up which could cause catastrophic damage to the engines. The system also prevents the giant flames generated by the engines from catching anything on fire.
During an actual launch, some of the water will evaporate due to the extreme heat, while the rest exits through nozzles. This test is just one of many more that NASA will conduct over the coming months in preparation for the rocket's first launch.
The SLS is designed for deeper space missions able to explore far beyond Earth's orbit. It can carry astronauts in an Orion capsule, or ferry other cargo, like exploratory robots, to distant worlds like Jupiter and Mars. Pretty impressive, huh?
This latest test, performed in the beginning of October, was to evaluate any needed upgrades, like corrosion control, renovating the water storage tank, and checking the conditions of the pipes and valves. Now, it will be in tip-top shape for when the SLS is ready to make its debut flight in 2020.

Some satellites orbit in the same direction the planet rotates, which means they get a boost for their launch, but most have orbits where that isn’t ideal, and that creates some challenges for engineers.

Here's the post I made about the City Build with viewers:
🔴 DO YOU WANT TO BE FEATURED IN MY NEXT CITY BUILD EPISODE!? 🔴
I have an idea for a city build video once episode 10 has been released:
It's going to be a city build video but I'll timelapse 5 of you guys and let you build a building to be featured in the video.
This will only be possible if 5 of you guys fit in with the conditions / want to take part:
CONDITIONS:
- It doesn't matter of you have Minecraft java edition or not, send me your submissions anyway.
- You must have the ability to build buildings similar to the ones in the city already (dm me on discord with screenshots of the build you want to use in the video).
- You must be fine getting featured (as a timelapse) in the video
- You must not destroy any of the world except your own build (this is going to be on a copy of the world but will be used as the main world afterwards).
- You must be able to stay on the realm for at maximum an hour to build.
- OPTIONAL - You should know the basics of world edit to make building easier.
NOTE: This may not happen, it's still in the idea phase but if we get enough people wanting to take part, it will hopefully happen. 🤞
