Paul Man­ning had the jour­nal­is­tic skill and per­sonal invest­ment to write one of the sem­i­nal books of Twen­ti­eth Cen­tury His­tory, Mar­tin Bor­mann: Nazi in Exile, as a chill­ing thriller that reads like a Robert Lud­lam novel. I was moved by his remem­ber­ances of his bomb­ing flights over Ger­many in the B-17 Lib­er­a­tors fly­ing for Edward R. Morrow’s spe­cial air force and chilled to the bone by the story of Bormann’s escape from Ger­many and shadow gov­ern­ment from Argentina and Paraguay. The Bor­mann orga­ni­za­tion is the real plan­e­tary bank and they seem “too big to fail”.

I notice here no men­tion of William Stevenson’s 1973 book, ” The Bor­mann Brotherhood”.

Like manning’s book , extremely rare, but full of strong meat, based on solid inves­tiga­tive foot-slogging. Has not dated.
( Steven­son was too canny to waste his time fol­low­ing up false dead ends , like the ‘Bor­mann as Russ­ian spy’ diver­sion, for example. )

Stevenson’s book also reads like a chill­ing thriller, and appears to have reached the same conxlu­sions as Manning.

Not know­ing Manning’s book, does Man­ning acknowl­edge Steven­son as one of his sources ?

Has any­one done any research or know of any arti­cles that ques­tion the 1998 DNA test­ing that iden­ti­fied the remains found in Berlin in 1973 as that of Bor­mann? Obvi­ously, I am entirely skep­ti­cal of this con­ve­nient iden­ti­fi­ca­tion, but it would be inter­est­ing to know the ways in which this issue has been addressed (Wikipedia obvi­ously use it as a ‘fact’ and as a tool to dis­credit the the­sis of his escape).

One Bor­mann related book I have never been able to find a PDF of is Trea­son for My Daily Bread by Mikhail Lebe­dev. I am con­sid­er­ing buy­ing a copy and mak­ing it freely avail­able, but the cur­rent second-hand price is incred­i­bly expen­sive. Again, Wikipedia have pro­nounced it a hoax (based on the Bor­mann DNA ‘evidence.’)

I am not aware of any books or arti­cles ded­i­cated to decon­struct­ing the “Bor­mann DNA” hoax, and that is almost cer­tainly what it is.

The “Bor­mann skull” and other remains, as well as the DNA sam­ple taken from a sur­viv­ing mem­ber of the Bor­mann fam­ily, were destroyed after the story was disseminated.

As a result, there can be no inde­pen­dent ver­i­fi­ca­tion of the results.

IF the tests con­clu­sively demon­strated that Bor­mann died, why not keep the proof around to sat­isfy fur­ther inquiries?

The fact that the so-called evi­dence was destroyed, rather than pre­served, is telling.

As far as evi­den­tiary integrity, the mate­r­ial in the sec­ond para­graph of page 205 is significant:

” . . . The [FBI] file revealed that he had been bank­ing under his own name from his office in Ger­many in Deutsche Bank of Buenos Aires since 1941; that he held one joint account with the Argen­tin­ian dic­ta­tor Juan Peron, and on August 4, 5 and 14, 1967, had writ­ten checks on demand accounts in first National City Bank (Over­seas Divi­sion) of New York, The Chase Man­hat­tan Bank, and Man­u­fac­tur­ers Hanover Trust Co., all cleared through Deutsche Bank of Buenos Aires. . . .”

Bank­ing records from an FBI file on an indi­vid­ual are VERY strong, cred­i­ble documents.

Also: Some naysay­ers have attempted to use Paul Manning’s ded­i­ca­tion of the book to Allen Dulles to spin the work as some sort of CIA disinformation.

If the writ­ing and pub­li­ca­tion of the book were an “op,” it would have been fea­tured in the New York Times, Newsweek and the other MSM.

Instead, it was sup­pressed, with the New York Times declin­ing to review it.

Dave and Paul: I have stud­ied this book with con­sid­er­able inter­est and it con­tin­ues to puz­zle me. Mae Brus­sell stood by it and I’m inclined to agree. There are so many seem­ing inci­den­tal points but she men­tions the story of Bor­mann dress­ing as a Catholic priest in Bolzano not being made known until Farago’s After­math in 1974, well after the time that Todd would have com­mis­sioned W.G. Stan­ton to write his ‘novel’. Stanton’s web­site is quite sparse in terms of infor­ma­tion about the book and what lit­tle appears there is mis­lead­ing. One bit of infor­ma­tion that sug­gests there is more to this book is the ref­er­ence to a Colonel Orlov while Lebe­dev is in touch with Fer­rie and the exiles in New Orleans. Orlov was men­tioned by DeMor­en­shildt in his War­ren Com­mis­sion tes­ti­mony and is later men­tioned in Epstein’s Leg­end as Colonel Lau­rence Orlov who sup­pos­edly first intro­duced the Oswald’s to DeMor­en­schildt. Inter­est­ingly there was a Vlassov vet­eran named Igor Orlov who went over to Gehlen’s group after the war and worked in Berlin for some time before com­ing to the USA and set­tling in the Alexan­dria, Vir­ginia area. This infor­ma­tion is men­tioned in David Wise’s Mole­hunt and Joseph Trento’s Secret His­tory of the CIA. There are notable gaps in his biog­ra­phy dur­ing the year 1963 and he was in touch with Angle­ton and Nosenko among many oth­ers. He was code named Sasha but obvi­ously used other aliases.

I won­der if you ever received a copy of the fol­low up book that was men­tioned by Peter in that inter­view, but was never pub­lished? Has any­one ever seen this document?

I find the skull and DNA evi­dence poor as well as ‘sud­denly’ find­ing the bod­ies in 1972. Are you con­vinced that this was not Bor­mann are that the evi­dence was faked? Or do you feel Man­ning could have been being manip­u­lated by the organ­i­sa­tion by Bormann’s new lead­ers. Peo­ple say he died being looked after by Men­gele with stom­ach can­cer. I see that Farago was set up and won­der if Man­ning could have been set up as get­ting to close to the truth?

As I am in the UK, I won­der what advice you with have for our Euro­pean Ref­er­en­dum? I also see the strong link between Bor­mann and the Bilder­bergs and the EU. The UK now seems implicit in the Under­ground Reich, but auton­omy might reduce threats? Because you are an expert in this area, I would be inter­ested to hear your views on pick­ing apart who and what posi­tions could hypo­thet­i­cally put peo­ple in a stronger polit­i­cal posi­tion against the Bor­mann and Bilder­berg agenda?

Bank­ing records in an FBI file con­sti­tute superb documentation.

Try open­ing a bank account under the name of “Mar­tin Bormann.”

The “DNA test” that sup­pos­edly deter­mined that the remains found in Berlin were those of Bor­mann can never be inde­pen­dently assessed.

The remains were destroyed, sup­pos­edly to pre­vent the evo­lu­tion of some “Nazi shrine” around them.

The objec­tive observer is left in the posi­tion of hav­ing to trust the word of the Ger­man gov­ern­ment in this matter.

Now, the Ger­man gov­ern­ment wouldn’t tell a lie about a very impor­tant and sen­si­tive mat­ter, would it?

If the book were dis­in­for­ma­tion, it would have been widely dis­sem­i­nated, not eclipsed.

I have no par­tic­u­lar opin­ion on the ref­er­en­dum. I sus­pect it may be too late for the UK.
