Anthony Davis status: completely and totally OBSOLETE. I'm sure there's a team that will give the Pelicans a tons of picks and stuff for him. Right? I mean, at least one team will have ignored the fact that the not-very-good Pelicans beat the Cavaliers while getting a superior performance from his backup, Terrence Jones. That's the team that will think Davis is still worth anything at all, even when it is now clear that he has been made redundant on his own team. Maybe they should just waive him. There's no way that this performance by Jones will go unnoticed by any of the other 29 GMs, and when they see it, they will know that Davis can be had for super cheap. For free even. And they're not going to want him. I hope The Brow enjoys China, because that's where he's going to end up, while...

After shamelessly chasing views with my last video, I have decided to atone by making this one, which depicts a player who no one at all cares about: Terrence Jones! He had his share of fans when he was with the Rockets, I think. Maybe I'm misremembering. But whatever he fans he may or may not have had are totally gone now. Poof! Just like that. That's what happens when you go to the Pelicans; Just ask Langston Galloway. I know sometimes I get a little spastic with these descriptions, so I'm gonna warn you straight up that this one is gonna take a turn. Ready? You'd better be, because the topic of this description will now switch suddenly to: Why Terrence Jones can barely even dunk anymore. He had a totally open fastbreak jam, and all he could do is rimgraze it while seeming to jump as ...

If Terrence Jones could hit his free throws, he would have had thirty instead of just twenty-four. But he had to go 3-of-9 from the welfare stripe, so instead of the narrative being "young player with potential is finally breaking out", the narrative is just...nothing. There is no Terrence Jones narrative after this game. 24-point games don't get narratives. If he had scored thirty, that would mean something. I would make sure it meant something, that it had some larger significance to Jones' NBA career. Instead...there's nothing. It seemed like Jones was a forgotten man in the NBA after his stint with the Rockets. The Pelicans were able to pick him up on a very cheap one-year deal despite the considerable amounts of promise Jones showed in his second and third years (let's forget his fou...

So, the Rockets have found their power forward of the future. No, not Donatas Motiejunas. Seriously? Look at the title of the video. Come on man. All they need to reach contender status is a good point guard. I'm not totally sold on Patrick Beverley. And obviously Jeremy Lin is Jeremy Lin. But the combo of those two will do for now. Back to Terrence. He's a beast. Sometimes. Like in this game, for example, he looked unstoppable. Hitting threes, crossing fools over, dunking, making highlight-reel defensive plays, the whole package. But he has lots of games where he doesn't do much of anything. And that's okay. He's only 22, and this is his first year seeing actual minutes. Improvement will come. And with it, hopefully a shooting coach who can fix his free throws. All clips property of th...

In this game, Terrence Jones' first four made baskets were all dunks. I admit that I started getting my hopes up after the third one, thinking that maybe he dunked every one of his ten made field goals. Such an occurrence would have made me whole and completed my life. Ten made baskets, all dunks, a fantasy born from my imagination's most daring moments, yet closer than ever to fruition. It turns out that Jones only got seven dunks in this game. That is an impressive total, but it is not enough for me. My heart has been trampled by the stampede of disappointment. I don't even know if I can go on. Uh oh. Here comes that black shadow again, at the edge of my vision. Soon it will swallow me whole. When my life becomes worth living again, somebody send me a private message. All...
