Following in the wake of the death of Prince, Mikey Erg has released a cover of The Purple One's "Starfish and Coffee." Erg stated that while this was recorded some time ago, he left it on his cellphone until now. All things considered, he felt it was appropriate to release it now. Check it out below.

Bud Bronson and the Goodtimers: “Pioneer Iron”

Today, Punknews is pleased to debut the new video by Bud Bronson and the Goodtimers!

In the video, the band staples together balls-out rock n roll with 90s alt-rock, resulting in a combustible jam. The tune starts with some killer shredding and ends in a Thin Lizzy-ish chorus "You don't mess with Pioneer Iron!!" There is also killer shredding at the end of the song, as well.

Richard Lyons of Negativland passes away

Richard Lyons of Negativland passes away

Richard Lyons, aka Pastor Dick, of Negativland has passed away. The band co-founder passed away after a 12 year battle with cancer. According to the band's facebook, he was 57 and passed away just after a "lively" birthday party. Members of the band were there in person and also participated remotely. The band also stated that he passed away "peacefully and pain free."
