[In Camilla's flat afer their first date. Charles's detective is waiting in the car outside]::Camilla Parker-Bowles: How long does that chappie have to wait outside?::Prince Charles: As long as I'm in here.::Camilla Parker-Bowles: So what do we do - send out food and drink at regular intervals? Or do they bring in supplies from the Palace? I suppose you've had all these jokes before.::Prince Charles: Well, most people are a *little* more circumspect.::Camilla Parker-Bowles: Circumspect?::Prince Charles: One gets very used to being called "Sir".::Camilla Parker-Bowles: But you told me not to. Look, I *do* know about royal bloody protocol, Charles. Do you know who my grandmother was? My great grandmother, actually. She was your great great grandfather's mistress, Charles. And do you know what she said her job was? She said "My job is to curtsy to the King first... then jump into bed with him!"::Prince Charles: Did she really?::Camilla Parker-Bowles: Yes she did.::[Camilla looks longingly and seductively at Charles]::Prince Charles: Are you by any chance saying what I think you're saying?::Camilla Parker-Bowles: Put it this way, Charles. I'm buggered if I'm curtsying.

It's the day when Her Royal Highness is to visit the hospital to inaugurate a new wing, where advanced (and sinister) scientific experiments led by Prof. Millar will take place. Everybody in the hospital, from the cooks who refuse to cook, to the painters who couldn't care less to get their job done, to an African cannibalistic dictator (a la Amin Dada) whom demonstrators want expelled from the hospital and tried, will contribute to making HRH's visit (and Mick Travis's life) a true nightmare.

Quotes:
Professor Millar: Friends! Fellow Members of the Human Race! We are gathered here for a purpose. Let us look together at Mankind. What do we see? We see Mastery. What wonders Mankind can perform. He can cross the oceans and continents today, as easily as our grandfathers crossed the street. Tomorrow he will as easily cross the vast territories of space. He can make deserts FERTILE and plant cabbages on the Moon. And what does man CHOOSE? Alone among the creatures of this world, the Human Race CHOOSES to ANNIHILATE itself. Since the last world conflict ended, there has not been one day in which Human Beings have not been SLAUGHTERING or wounding one another, in 200 and 30 different wars. And man BREEDS as recklessly as he lays waste. By the end of the century, the population of the world will have TRIPLED. 2/3rds of our plant species will have been DESTROYED. 55% of the Animal Kingdom. and 70% of our mineral resources. Out of every hundred Human Beings now living, 80 will DIE without ever KNOWING what it FEELS like to be fully nourished... While a tiny minority INDULGE themselves in ABSURD and EXTRAVAGANT luxuries. A motion picture entertainer of North America will receive as much money in a MONTH as would feed a starving South American tribe for a hundred YEARS! We WASTE! We DESTROY! AND, we cling like SAVAGES to our SUPERSTITIONS. We give POWER to LEADERS of State and Church as prejudiced and small-minded as ourselves, who SQUANDER our resources on instruments of destruction... While Millions continue to SUFFER and go hungry, condemned FOREVER to lives of IGNORANCE and DEPRIVATION. And why is this? It is because mankind has denied Intelligence, the unique glory of our species - the Human Brain. Man is entering an era of INFINITE possibility, still imprisoned in a FEEBLE, inefficient body... Still manacled by primitive notions of morality, which have NO PLACE in an Age of Science... Still powered by a brain that has HARDLY developed since the species emerged from the caves. Only a NEW intelligence can save Mankind! Only a new Human Being of PURE BRAIN can lead man forward into the new era. I do not speak of DREAMS. Such a being exists already. I have created it! It is HERE. NOW. Prepare yourselves to meet the Human of the Future. Neither Man nor Woman. Greater than either. I have given it a name. Genesis. Birth. A New Birth. A New Beginning for Mankind. People of Today, Behold Your Future!

Queen Elizabeth - The Queen Mother ( History Documentary )
Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon (4
August 1900 – 30
March 2002) was the wife of
King George VI and the mother of
Queen Elizabeth II and
Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon. She was
Queen consort of the
United Kingdom and the Dominions from her husband's accession in 1936 until his death in
1952, after which she was known as
Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother,[2] to avoid confusion with her daughter. She was the last
Empress consort of India.
Born into a family of
British nobility as
The Honourable Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, she became
Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon when her father inherited the
Scottish Earldom of
Strathmore and
Kinghorne in 1904. She came to prominence in 1923 when she married
Albert, Duke of York, the second son of
King George V and
Queen Mary. The couple and their daughters embodied traditional ideas of family and public service.[3] She undertook a variety of public engagements and became known as the "
Smiling Duchess" because of her consistent public expression.[4]
In 1936, her husband unexpectedly became
King when his brother,
Edward VIII, abdicated in order to marry the
American divorcée
Wallis Simpson. As
Queen, Elizabeth accompanied her husband on diplomatic tours to
France and
North America before the start of
World War II. During the war, her seemingly indomitable spirit provided moral support to the
British public. In recognition of her role as an asset to British interests,
Adolf Hitler described her as "the most dangerous woman in
Europe".[5]
After the war, her husband's health deteriorated and she was widowed at the age of 51.
On the death of her mother-in-law, Queen Mary, in
1953 and with the former
King Edward VIII living abroad and her elder daughter, the new
Queen, aged 26,
Elizabeth became the senior member of the
British Royal Family and assumed a position as family matriarch. In her later years, she was a consistently popular member of the family, even when other members were suffering from low levels of public approval.[6] She continued an active public life until just a few months before her death at the age of
101, seven weeks after the death of her younger daughter,
Princess Margaret.

UK: QUEEN MOTHER CELEBRATES HER 99TH BIRTHDAY [V]
English/Nat
Britain's
Queen Mother celebrated her
99th birthday in front of crowds of cheering well wishers in
London.
About five-thousand people gathered outside her official residence,
Clarence House, on Wednesday to see the royal whose life spans the century.
Many had waited since early in the morning.
VOICE-OVER:

Britain's Queen Mother, more fondly referred to as the '
Queen Mum,' emerged from her home at
London's Clarence House on Wednesday for birthday wishes from the public.
Thousands of well-wishers came to wish the Queen Mother well in marking her 99th birthday, making her as old as the century itself.
00:18
To mark the royal occasion, the band of the
Welsh Guards marched past playing the birthday song for the royal family's reigning matriarch.
The crowd, many of whom had waited for hours at the gates, gave warm cheers to honour one of the
Windsor family's most popular royals.
The Queen Mother stood firmly, declining the offer to sit down for the ceremony and aided only by her silver-handled cane.
00:41
She was presented with scores of birthday cards and bouquets from the crowd.
Nearly five-thousand admirers came, both
Britons and curious tourists always eager to catch a rare glimpse of a member of the
British royal family.
00:56
Then the Queen Mother made a sprightly walk over to the waiting crowd to chat and shake hands.
The birthday was truly a national event, with B-B-C television playing the national anthem on their news bulletins as a form of tribute.
The Queen Mother was joined by other royals to mark her birthday with a family lunch, which included her daughter
Queen Elizabeth the Second,
Prince Charles and his two sons,
Princes William and
Harry.
