Finding a restaurant to eat in can actually become slightly more difficult than one would imagine.
Finding the best restaurant in Maidenhead was something I wanted to do, initially to help others who were looking to have a really nice time, and mostly those who were not that familiar with the area, or indeed who don't often dine out in local restaurants in Maidenhead.
Sure you can get restaurant reviews, but I sometimes wonder how difficult it is for friends and family to add glowing reviews and often I wonder are those really the restaurants customer?
The task then turned for me, into looking to see how various local restaurants handled other things surrounding the actual eating experience.
This then became not entirely a decision and recommendation based on menu alone. The things that started to weigh in were the restaurants ability to handle internet and telephone booking. Whether they did a partners incentive. I wanted to consider how they handled gift certificates for example.
I then looked a lot more closely at the restaurants use of vouchers. How do they treat the customer when using a voucher? How easy were restaurant vouchers to obtain?
Often, and particularly in these trying economic times, getting the best value for money is something that we all need to be sympathetic to. And most of all, if we look forward to the pleasure of dining out at a restaurant of our choice, with friends and family even, we shouldn't look to feel cheap or indeed stupid when presenting restaurant gift certificates or restaurant coupons when paying for our meal.
With a lot of those considerations in mind, I started my quest to find the best restaurant in Maidenhead or the surrounding Maidenhead area, which is my local town.

Maidenhead is a town and unparished area within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, in Berkshire, England. It lies on the River Thames and is situated 25.7 miles (41.4 km) west of Charing Cross in London.
Maidenhead's name, strictly speaking, refers to the busy riverside area where the "New wharf" or "Maiden Hythe" was built, perhaps as early as Saxon times. It has been suggested that the nearby Great Hill of Taplow was called the "Mai Dun" by the Iron Age Brythons. The area of the town centre was originally known as "South Ellington" and is recorded in the Domesday Book as Ellington in the hundred of Beynhurst.
In 1280, a bridge was erected across the river to replace a ferry in what was then the hamlet of South Ellington. The Great West Road to Reading, Gloucester and Bristol was diverted over the new bridge - previously it kept to the north bank crossed the Thames by ford at Cookham—and mediaeval Maidenhead grew up around it. Within a few years a wharf was constructed next to the bridge and the South Ellington name was dropped with the area becoming known as Maidenhythe (literally meaning "new wharf"). The earliest record of this name change is in the Bray Court manorial rolls of 1296. The bridge led to the growth of Maidenhead: a stopping point for coaches on the journeys between London and Bath and the High Street became populated with inns. The current Maidenhead Bridge, a local landmark, dates from 1777 and was built at a cost of £19,000.

Finding a restaurant to eat in can actually become slightly more difficult than one would imagine.
Finding the best restaurant in Maidenhead was something I wanted to do, initially to help others who were looking to have a really nice time, and mostly those who were not that familiar with the area, or indeed who don't often dine out in local restaurants in Maidenhead.
Sure you can get restaurant reviews, but I sometimes wonder how difficult it is for friends and family to add glowing reviews and often I wonder are those really the restaurants customer?
The task then turned for me, into looking to see how various local restaurants handled other things surrounding the actual eating experience.
This then became not entirely a decision and recommendation based on menu alone. The things that started to weigh in were the restaurants ability to handle internet and telephone booking. Whether they did a partners incentive. I wanted to consider how they handled gift certificates for example.
I then looked a lot more closely at the restaurants use of vouchers. How do they treat the customer when using a voucher? How easy were restaurant vouchers to obtain?
Often, and particularly in these trying economic times, getting the best value for money is something that we all need to be sympathetic to. And most of all, if we look forward to the pleasure of dining out at a restaurant of our choice, with friends and family even, we shouldn't look to feel cheap or indeed stupid when presenting restaurant gift certificates or restaurant coupons when paying for our meal.
With a lot of those considerations in mind, I started my quest to find the best restaurant in Maidenhead or the surrounding Maidenhead area, which is my local town.
