Congress Votes 368-31 to Back Mumia’s Racist Frame-up
The only Virginia Congressperson to vote against the resolution was Robert Scott. Joining in the racist lynch mob calling for blood of an innocent black man were Virginia Democrats James Moran, and Frederick Boucher. Also voting for blood were Virginia Republicans Frank Wolf, Thomas Davis, Jo Ann Davis, Thelma Drake, James Forbes, Virgil Goode, Robert Goodlatte, and Eric Cantor.

A protest planned by the Tidewater Labor Support Committee and the Virginia Public Service Workers Union (UE Local 160) turned into a victory celebration when the College of William and Mary's Office of Residence Life withdrew its plans to force housekeepers into a six-day workweek only one day before the scheduled rally.
