It seems London's getting its first Muslim mayor.
According to British media reports, Sadiq Khan - the son of a bus driver - has won the capital's election.
The apparent victory will go some way in soothing the wounds of his Labour party, which suffered losses in other local polls.
But it will be a crushing blow for Conservative mayoral challenger Zac Goldsmith, the son of a billionaire financier.
Final results are still being collated.

In Britain, Labour politician Sadiq Khan has been elected as the next Mayor of London, beating Conservative candidate Zac Goldsmith. Voter turnout in the capital was about 46 percent this year. The British-Pakistani lawmaker was 9 points ahead of his Tory rival Goldsmith, who has been accused of running a racist and Islamophobic campaign against him. Khan has become the first directly elected Muslim mayor in a major European capital. His appointment ends 8 years of Tory rule in the city from Boris Johnson. However, he has faced a barrage of criticism from the Muslim community for his pro-Israeli policies, even promising to hold a festival celebrating Tel Aviv. Khan is now in charge of spending 17 billion pounds on the capital for policing, transport, planning and the environment for the next four years.

Sadiq Khan elected as Labour's candidate for mayor of London
Sadiq Khan, the former shadow justice secretary, has won the Labour nomination for the London mayoralty, underlining the extent to which the party has shifted to the left in recent months.
Khan, who comfortably beat off the challenge of Tessa Jowell, said he was overwhelmed, adding that he had never dreamed he would be standing as Labour candidate for mayor. “Like so many Londoners, I owe London everything,” he said.
Khan picked up 59% of the vote and it was clear he had won as soon as the first results showed that the votes of Khan and Diane Abbott combined would outnumber those for Lady Jowell. The results, announced at the Royal Festival Hall, suggest Jeremy Corbyn is going to sweep to victory in the national leadership ballot on Saturday.
Jowell had hoped her consensual style and reputation for helping to bring the Olympics to London in 2012 would be enough for her to see off the organisation of Khan and the leftward surge in the party. Khan will be relieved that in the final ballot he did not just win in the registered supporters and affiliated section, but also in the members section, giving him a solid mandate.

Sadiq Khan was declared the first Muslim Mayor of London tonight after comfortably defeating Tory rival Zac Goldsmith.
In a glimmer of light for Jeremy Corbyn from an otherwise dire set of election results, emerging results at City Hall made it clear there was no route to victory for Mr Goldsmith.
The official declaration was originally due around 6pm but 'discrepancies' in the count pushed the final result back.
As midnight approached there was still no official declaration and suggestions that glitches in the electronic counting system might delay the final result.
LBC's political editor Theo Usherwood tweeted: 'I am hearing the problem with the count is more significant than was first let on.

The City of London is one of the oldest parts of the capitol, as it is located where London was first founded almost 2000 years ago. The City of London roughly constitutes the same area that was mostly unaltered until the beginning of the Industrial Revolution in the 18th Century. Known as the "Square Mile", the City nowadays is roughly bounded by the River Thames to the south, Chancery Lane to the west, Charterhouse Street to the north, and the Tower of London to the east. Although the old City's gates are long gone, you can still see their location in the street names. The Tower of London
To the east of the City you'll find the Tower of London by the River Thames. The tower was built in 1066, and the imposing building still reflects its turbulent past. In its long years, the Tower has been a fortress, a state prison, and it was also used as a place of execution. Nowadays, the Tower of London is open for visitors. You can see the crown jewels, royal armor and of course the Tower's famous ravens here. Legend says that if the ravens were ever to leave the Tower, England would fall.
Leadenhall Market in the City
Leadenhall Market on Gracechurch Street dates back to the 14th century, and is one of the oldest markets in London. Previously a meat, game and poultry market, the covered market was redesigned in 1881 by Sir Horace Jones, who created a beautiful roof structure. This, coupled with the cobbled walkways and beautiful decorations, make it a popular tourist attraction. Nowadays, you can also find clothes shops and more next to the flowers and fresh produce that are still sold here. When walking through the market don't forget to look up: you can still see the hooks on the walls where fresh produce was displayed in Victorian times.
London & the River Thames
The River Thames passes the City of London to the south and runs through the center of Greater London. The Thames used to play a vital role in London's economy. Although this has changed in modern times, the river is still an essential part of the City. To explore the city in a different way, you can catch one of the riverboat tours that navigate the Thames. From the water you'll be able to see many of London's most famous attractions, such as the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Palace and more!

Much of Shakespeare in Love (1998), a comedy involving Shakespeare in a fictionalised romance, was set around the original Globe Theatre, as was Laurence Olivier's 1944 Henry V.

Khan has become the first directly elected Muslim mayor in a major European capital. His appointment ends 8 years of Tory rule in the city from Boris Johnson. Khan, who comfortably beat off the challenge of Tessa Jowell, said he was overwhelmed, adding that he had never dreamed he would be standing as Labour candidate for mayor. “Like so many Londoners, I owe London everything,” he said. Khan picked up 59% of the vote and it was clear he had won as soon as the first results showed that the votes of Khan and Diane Abbott combined would outnumber those for Lady Jowell. The results, announced at the Royal Festival Hall, suggest Jeremy Corbyn is going to sweep to victory in the national leadership ballot on Saturday. Jowell had hoped her consensual style and reputation for helping to bring the Olympics to London in 2012 would be enough for her to see off the organisation of Khan and the leftward surge in the party. Khan will be relieved that in the final ballot he did not just win in the registered supporters and affiliated section, but also in the members section, giving him a solid mandate. In Britain, Labour politician Sadiq Khan has been elected as the next Mayor of London, beating Conservative candidate Zac Goldsmith. Voter turnout in the capital was about 46 percent this year. The British-Pakistani lawmaker was 9 points ahead of his Tory rival Goldsmith, who has been accused of running a racist and Islamophobic campaign against him. Khan has become the first directly elected Muslim mayor in a major European capital. His appointment ends 8 years of Tory rule in the city from Boris Johnson. However, he has faced a barrage of criticism from the Muslim community for his pro-Israeli policies, even promising to hold a festival celebrating Tel Aviv. Khan is now in charge of spending 17 billion pounds on the capital for policing, transport, planning and the environment for the next four years.

Sadiq Khan elected as Labour's candidate for mayor of London
Sadiq Khan, the former shadow justice secretary, has won the Labour nomination for the London mayoralty, underlining the extent to which the party has shifted to the left in recent months.
Khan, who comfortably beat off the challenge of Tessa Jowell, said he was overwhelmed, adding that he had never dreamed he would be standing as Labour candidate for mayor. “Like so many Londoners, I owe London everything,” he said.
Khan picked up 59% of the vote and it was clear he had won as soon as the first results showed that the votes of Khan and Diane Abbott combined would outnumber those for Lady Jowell. The results, announced at the Royal Festival Hall, suggest Jeremy Corbyn is going to sweep to victory in the national leadership ballot on Saturday.
Jowell had hoped her consensual style and reputation for helping to bring the Olympics to London in 2012 would be enough for her to see off the organisation of Khan and the leftward surge in the party. Khan will be relieved that in the final ballot he did not just win in the registered supporters and affiliated section, but also in the members section, giving him a solid mandate.

Sadiq Khan was declared the first Muslim Mayor of London tonight after comfortably defeating Tory rival Zac Goldsmith.
In a glimmer of light for Jeremy Corbyn from an otherwise dire set of election results, emerging results at City Hall made it clear there was no route to victory for Mr Goldsmith.
The official declaration was originally due around 6pm but 'discrepancies' in the count pushed the final result back.
As midnight approached there was still no official declaration and suggestions that glitches in the electronic counting system might delay the final result.
LBC's political editor Theo Usherwood tweeted: 'I am hearing the problem with the count is more significant than was first let on.

Ho voluto mettermi alla prova, realizzando questa collaborazione diversa dalle solite, dando al video un tocco “urban”, utilizzando il mio skate come base per applicarmi lo smalto e dare un po’ di colore alle strade mentre vado sulle mie amate 4 ruote più fighe che ci siano ;)

The City of London is one of the oldest parts of the capitol, as it is located where London was first founded almost 2000 years ago. The City of London roughly constitutes the same area that was mostly unaltered until the beginning of the Industrial Revolution in the 18th Century. Known as the "Square Mile", the City nowadays is roughly bounded by the River Thames to the south, Chancery Lane to the west, Charterhouse Street to the north, and the Tower of London to the east. Although the old City's gates are long gone, you can still see their location in the street names. Join us on this video tour as we explore the Tower of London, Leadenhall Market, the City's financial district, St. Paul's Cathedral and more!
The Tower of London
To the east of the City you'll find the Tower of London by the River Thames. The tower was built in 1066, and the imposing building still reflects its turbulent past. In its long years, the Tower has been a fortress, a state prison, and it was also used as a place of execution. Nowadays, the Tower of London is open for visitors. You can see the crown jewels, royal armor and of course the Tower's famous ravens here. Legend says that if the ravens were ever to leave the Tower, England would fall.
Leadenhall Market in the City
Leadenhall Market on Gracechurch Street dates back to the 14th century, and is one of the oldest markets in London. Previously a meat, game and poultry market, the covered market was redesigned in 1881 by Sir Horace Jones, who created a beautiful roof structure. This, coupled with the cobbled walkways and beautiful decorations, make it a popular tourist attraction. Nowadays, you can also find clothes shops and more next to the flowers and fresh produce that are still sold here. When walking through the market don't forget to look up: you can still see the hooks on the walls where fresh produce was displayed in Victorian times.
London & the River Thames
The River Thames passes the City of London to the south and runs through the center of Greater London. The Thames used to play a vital role in London's economy. Although this has changed in modern times, the river is still an essential part of the City. To explore the city in a different way, you can catch one of the riverboat tours that navigate the Thames. From the water you'll be able to see many of London's most famous attractions, such as the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Palace and more!
The Financial District City of London
The City of London is one of the most important financial districts in the world. You will find the offices of more than 500 banks at the Bank of England in the City.
