José Luis Lopes Costa e Silva (born 17 May 1958), known as José Luís, is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.
Born in Lisbon, José Luís was promoted to hometown's S.L. Benfica's first team at only 18, finishing his first season with 25 games, 20 starts and two goals as the club won the national championship. Until the end of his tenure he was irregularly used by the Eagles, his best years being 1983 to 1985 as he appeared in 57 matches combined – six goals – and won the 1984 league and the following year's Portuguese Cup; he also played the full 90 minutes in the 1982–83 UEFA Cup final's first hand, a 0–1 away loss against R.S.C. Anderlecht (1–2 on aggregate).
Luís left Benfica in the 1987 summer and signed for C.S. Marítimo, competing in a further four top division campaigns and eventually amassing totals in the competition of 283 games and 28 goals. He retired in June 1993 at the age of 35, after two years with A.D. Ovarense in the second level.
José Luis Carreño Etxeandía S. D. B. (Spain, 23 October 1905 - 29 May 1986) was a Spanish Roman Catholic priest.
He was pioneering missionary in India and the Philippines, founder of the premier Indian institution Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur, Vellore District, and a member of the Salesians of Don Bosco. He was also a poet, musician and writer, with a special interest in the Shroud of Turin (see Bibliography below). He has been called the most loved Salesian in South India, at least in the first part of the twentieth century. Pascual Chavez Villanueva, Rector Major of the Salesians, speaks of him as "the great missionary of India and of the Philippines in the footsteps of St Francis Xavier".
Born on 23 October 1905 to Rogelio and Teresa, Carreño entered the Salesian school of Santander, Spain, in November 1913, and later the school for aspiring Salesians at Campello. From Campello he went to the Salesian novitiate at Carabanchel Alto in 1921, and made his profession on 25 July 1922. After a brief military service, he made his perpetual profession at Sarrìa on 11 December 1928. He was ordained priest at Gerona on 21 May 1932.
Carreño is a municipality in the Autonomous Community of the Principality of Asturias, Spain. It is bordered by Corvera de Asturias on the west, Gozón on the north, the Cantabrian Sea on the north and east, and Gijón on the east and south. Its capital is Candás.
