Disneyland Paris
An entertainment resort in Marne-la-Vallée. The most visited attraction in all of
France and
Europe.
Covers 4,800 acres and encompasses two
theme parks, several resort hotels, a shopping, dining, and entertainment complex, and a golf course.
National Museum of Natural History
Formally founded on 10 June 1793, during the
French Revolution.
Organized into seven research and three diffusion departments. The diffusion
departments are:
The Galleries of the
Jardin des Plantes, Botanical Parks and Zoos, and
The Museum of
Man.
Parc Astérix
A theme amusement park. Opened in
1989. Especially well known for its large variety of roller coasters. Has begun incorporating rides and
themes from historic cultures such as the

Egyptians, but always in the visual style of the stories.
Aquaboulevard
The biggest urban water park in Europe, boasting two wave pools, 11 giant water slides, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, lazy rivers and a 4,

Mauritius, plus a whole slew of water games.
Parc de la Villette
The third-largest park in Paris. The park houses one of the largest concentration of cultural venues in
Paris: City of
Science and Industry,
Europe's largest science museum, three major concert venues and the prestigious
Conservatoire de Paris.
France Miniature
A 5-hectare (12-acre) outdoor park in the shape of France that contains about 160 outdoor 1/30-scale models of major
French monuments and
landmarks.
Monuments are placed in the park to correlate approximately with their real-world locations in France.
Luxembourg Gardens
A park, which covers 23 hectares. Is known for its lawns, tree-lined promenades, flowerbeds, the model sailboats on its circular basin, and
for the picturesque
Medici Fountain, built in 1620. Was created beginning in
1612 by
Marie de' Medici, the widow of
King Henry IV of France.
Playmobil FunPark
A giant playground made completely from playmobil.
Children can play in giant PLAYMOBIL settings; from climbing on board a pirate ship to
exploring the princess’s castle. They can invent their own PLAYMOBIL stories with the thousands of PLAYMOBIL toys at their fingertips.
Jardin d'Acclimatation
A 20-hectare (49-acre) children's amusement park with a zoo, the
Exploradôme museum, and other attractions located in the northern part of
the
Bois de Boulogne. Opened on 6 October
1860 by
Napoléon III and
Empress Eugénie.
Jardin des Plantes
The main botanical garden in France. Includes four galleries of the Muséum: the
Grande Galerie de l'
Évolution, the Mineralogy
Museum, the
Paleontology Museum and the Entomology Museum. Also a small zoo, founded in 1795 by
Bernardin de Saint-Pierre.
