Michael Francis Moore (born April 23, 1954) is an American documentary filmmaker, screenwriter, author, journalist, actor, and left-wing political activist. He is the director and producer of Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004), a critical look at the presidency of George W. Bush and the War on Terror, which is the highest-grossing documentary at the American boxoffice of all time and winner of the Palme d'Or. His film Bowling for Columbine (2002), which examines the causes of the Columbine High School massacre, won the Academy Award for Documentary Feature. Both Fahrenheit 9/11 and Sicko (2007), which examines health care in the United States, are among the top ten highest-grossing documentaries. In September 2008, he released his first free movie on the Internet, Slacker Uprising, which documented his personal quest to encourage more Americans to vote in presidential elections. He has also written and starred in the TV shows TV Nation, a satirical newsmagazine television series and The Awful Truth, a satirical show.
The Cable News Network (CNN) is an American basic cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner. The 24-hour cable news channel was founded in 1980 by American media proprietor Ted Turner. Upon its launch, CNN was the first television channel to provide 24-hour news coverage, and was the first all-news television channel in the United States.
While the news channel has numerous affiliates, CNN primarily broadcasts from the Time Warner Center in New York City, and studios in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, its headquarters at the CNN Center in Atlanta is only used for weekend programming. CNN is sometimes referred to as CNN/U.S. to distinguish the American channel from its international sister network, CNN International. As of August 2010, CNN is available in over 100 million U.S. households. Broadcast coverage of the U.S. channel extends to over 890,000 American hotel rooms, as well as carriage on cable and satellite providers throughout Canada. Globally, CNN programming airs through CNN International, which can be seen by viewers in over 212 countries and territories.

Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born Piers Stefan O'Meara; 30 March 1965), known professionally as Piers Morgan, is a British journalist and television personality currently working as the US editor-at-large for Mail Online.
Morgan is the editorial director of First News, a national newspaper for children published in the UK. He began hosting Piers Morgan Live on CNN on 17 January 2011. The show replaced Larry King Live in the 9:00 pm timeslot following King's retirement.Piers Morgan Live was cancelled by CNN in February 2014 and aired its final broadcast on March 28, 2014. Morgan is a former judge on America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent. In 2008 he won Celebrity Apprentice. In the UK, he presents Piers Morgan's Life Stories (2009–present) and Good Morning Britain (2015–present).
Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several British tabloids, including The Sun, News of the World and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a national UK newspaper in more than half a century. In November 2012, he was heavily criticised in the official findings of the Leveson Inquiry, when Lord Leveson stated that comments made in Morgan's testimony about phone hacking were "utterly unpersuasive" and "clearly prove ... that he was aware that it was taking place in the press as a whole and that he was sufficiently unembarrassed by what was criminal behaviour that he was prepared to joke about it". Morgan has written eight books, including four volumes of memoirs.

"They're convinced that the people out there, the people watching this on TV, even if they see my movie, they're not going to revolt, they're not going to stand up, they're not going to get involved. Michael Moore's Sicko and his passionate interview blitzing CNN
Michael Moore blasts CNN's hit pieces against Fahrenheit 9/11 and Sicko, and asks them to apologize for misleading the public about the Iraq war, health care, and other important issues. He pointed out that he got the facts right, and CNN got them WRONG: about the war, and now about healthcare.
"Michael Moore appeared on CNN tonight to talk about Hurricane Sandy, but a fair amount of the interview was squarely focused on the media coverage of the hurricane and the practice of networks like CNN putting reporters out in the middle of the storm. Moore questioned why such a practice is newsworthy in the slightest, with Piers Morgan defending CNN's coverage of the storm and the decision to put reporters out in the middle of the disaster."* Cenk Uygur breaks down the style of journalism used by CNN and why it should not be the focus of a news story. *Read more from Josh Feldman/Mediaite: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/michael-moore-trashes-cnns-hurricane-sandy-coverage-on-piers-morgan-tonight/ *Watch the original video from CNN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlJEA8ywv9U Support The Yo...

Michael Moore on Donald Trump's America - Don Lemon Interview 1.12.17
Michael Moore appeared on "The Kelly File" tonight to discuss a wide variety of topics with Megyn Kelly.
In an interview with CNN's Don Lemon, documentary filmmaker Michael Moore said that Donald Trump's 'presidency must be opposed right now.'
Filmmaker and activist Michael Moore says the voter uproar that has broken out at town halls hosted by Republican lawmakers "makes the Tea Party look like preschool." During an interview Wednesday on MSNBC's "All In," Moore said these "massive" protests are an encouraging sign for everyone who opposes President Trump and his agenda. Moore, who on Tuesday posted a "10-Point Action Plan to Stop Trump," said the recent demonstrations and marches have reached a level of activism that he hasn't seen in decades. "I'm telling you folks, those of you who are younger, this hasn't happened since 1970," Moore said. "You do have to go back, you'd have to go back before Kent State, before to where you saw crowds like this. And even then, you didn't see middle class. You didn't see grandmas." He added t...
"It's called a pyramid scheme, because only a few people can sit on top of the pyramid. Their job is to convince everybody else in the pyramid to work really hard because 'maybe you, too, can be up there in the pyramid with me some day,' but of course we all know that's not gonna happen. ... This whole system is set up to make sure that the people at the very, very top get away like bandits. ... You're asking the foxes to mind their own henhouse ... That's essentially what I feel we have, when you have the Rubins' and the Summers' and these guys still around. ... I think there is something boiling beneath the surface out there -- there is an anger. You can't throw that many people out of their homes ..." -- Michael Moore on The Charlie Rose Show, Friday, October 9th, 2009 Hens minding...
