Richard "Dick" Miller (born December 25, 1928) is an American character actor who has appeared in over 100 films, particularly those produced by Roger Corman, and later in films of directors who started their careers with Corman, including James Cameron and Joe Dante, with the distinction of appearing in almost every film made by Dante. Miller's main roles have been in films such as Gremlins, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, The Explorers, Piranha, The Howling, A Bucket of Blood, The Little Shop of Horrors, Chopping Mall, Night of the Creeps, The Terminator, The 'Burbs and Small Soldiers.
Miller was born in The Bronx, New York. Miller served a tour of duty in the United States Navy. Miller attended the City College of New York as well as Columbia University. He performed on Broadway and also worked at the Bellevue Hospital Mental Hygiene Clinic and the psychiatric department of Queens General Hospital. In 1952, he moved to California seeking work as a writer. One of his earliest acting roles was in Apache Woman (1955). He played one of the town's people and also a separate role as an Indian. Dick Miller is the last of the great American character actors. Whether sharing the screen with Nicholson, DeNiro, Schwarzenegger or The Ramones, Dick has been stealing scenes since his screen debut in 1955. He has worked with some of the great directors: Scorsese, Corman, Fuller, Dante, Cameron, Demme and more. Every moviegoer knows his face, but few know his name and even fewer know his story; an aspiring writer turned accidental actor. For the first time, Dick Miller has allowed filmmakers incredible access to his life and home for this funny and unexpected story. Joining him are the directors, producers, co-stars and friends who have helped make him Hollywood's leading "that guy".

In a career that has lasted over 50 years, we chart Dick's story growing up in The Bronx, his aspirations to be a writer and the quirk of fate that found him in front of the camera for pioneering independent filmmaker, Roger Corman. As a staple of Corman's stock company throughout the 1950s and 60s, Dick appeared in dozens of films and television episodes. Some roles were big, others were small - but each had that magic touch of Dick Miller's unmistakable presence. When Corman formed New World Pictures in 1970 and stepped away...
Here is the Oldsmobile Powered Nationals on July 26th 2015 in Norwalk, Ohio. The tracks name is referred to as Summit Motorsports Park or for the more old school people, Norwalk Dragway. I ended up driving my 1995 Olds Cutlass Supreme, but I will be driving my 1972 Olds next year, hopefully.
This is a scene from the 1986 movie Chopping Mall. In this scene famous actor Dick Miller gets electrocuted by being disrespectful to a killbot. Movie Review | http://www.90lostminutes.com/2012/01/chopping-mall.html
I had a great time at Texas Frightmare Weekend 2009, and snagged some nice interviews along the way. Here's my chat with legendary character actor Dick Miller, who talks about his over 50 years in the business. I think it went pretty well, despite my calling Rock N Roll High School "Rock N Roll Nightmare"!

One of the worst advertising campaigns ever launched by Miller Brewery to sell Miller LIte beer. It was late 1996, and frustrated Miller Brewing Co. executives watched helplessly as they kept losing ground to Budweiser and its funny, talking frogs. Miller hadn't had a memorable advertising campaign for Miller Lite, its biggest seller, since "Tastes Great ... Less Filling" fizzled in the mid-1980s. If only it could generate enough buzz to drown out all that croaking. Success hinged on appealing to the 21- to 28-year-olds whose beer drinking drives the market. Miller executives turned to ad agency Fallon McElligott of Minneapolis, whose offbeat, iconoclastic style had made it an advertising darling. What Fallon created was a campaign the likes of which Miller had never embarked upon befor...

Darsteller: Dick Miller, Bar...
