Karan is a small town and urban commune in the Koulikoro Region of southwestern Mali. In the 2009 census the commune had a population of 6,874.
Karan Tacker(born on 11th May 1982) is an Indian television actor and host. He is popularly known for his role of Shantanu Khandelwal in Yash Patnaik's Rang Badalti Odhani opposite Yashashri Mashurkar which went on air on STAR One from 5 April 2010. He started his career on the silver screen by hosting Star Sansaar on Star Plus. He then starred in show Love Ne Mila Di Jodi opposite Perneet Chauhan on Star One, where he played the character of Sameer Saxena. Sameer is the Casanova of the three brothers. He is currently playing the male lead role in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai in Star Plus as Viren Singh Vadera opposite Krystal D'Souza which is among the second leading show of indian television according to india forums
