In the summer of 2015 film maker Dermot King followed the Chris Buck Band around on tour! The shots were taken at SunFest Concerts and Rockin River Music Festival in Canada. After such a amazing experience and amazing crowds the band decided to use the footage for their single "Leave your Light On'".

Chris Buck (born October 25, 1960) is a American film director known for directing Tarzan and Surf's Up. He also worked as supervising animator on Home on the Range and Chicken Little.
Buck's other credits at Disney include the 1995 animated feature Pocahontas, where he oversaw the animation of three central characters: Percy, Grandmother Willow and Wiggins. Buck also helped design characters for the 1989 animated blockbuster The Little Mermaid, performed experimental animation for The Rescuers Down Under and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and was an animator on The Fox and the Hound.
Buck helped develop several films at Hyperion Pictures and served as a directing animator on the feature Bebe's Kids. He storyboarded director Tim Burton's live-action featurette Frankenweenie and worked with Burton again as directing animator on the Brad Bird-directed "Family Dog" episode of Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories and as director of the subsequent primetime animated series.
Buck's credits include a number of animated commercials (including some with the Keebler Elves) for such Los Angeles-based production entities as FilmFair, Kurtz & Friends, and Duck Soup[disambiguation needed

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix; November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) was an American musician and singer-songwriter. He is widely considered to be the greatest electric guitarist in music history, and one of the most influential musicians of his era despite mainstream exposure limited to just three years. After initial success in Europe with his group The Jimi Hendrix Experience, he achieved fame in the United States following his 1967 performance at the Monterey Pop Festival. Later, he headlined the iconic 1969 Woodstock Festival and the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival. He often favored raw overdriven amplifiers with high gain and treble and helped develop the previously undesirable technique of guitar amplifier feedback.
Hendrix helped to popularize use of the wah-wah pedal in mainstream rock, which he often used to deliver tonal exaggerations in his solos, particularly with high bends, complex guitar playing, and use of legato. As a record producer, he also broke new ground in using the recording studio as an extension of his musical ideas. He was one of the first to experiment with stereophonic phasing effects for rock recording.[citation needed] He was influenced by blues artists such as B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Albert King and Elmore James,rhythm and blues and soul guitarists Curtis Mayfield and Steve Cropper, and the jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery. Hendrix began dressing and wearing a moustache like Little Richard when he performed and recorded in his band from March 1, 1964 through to the spring of 1965. In 1966, he stated, "I want to do with my guitar what Little Richard does with his voice".

John Clayton Mayer (
/ˈmeɪ.ər/ MAY-ər; (born October 16, 1977) is an American pop and blues rock musician, singer-songwriter, recording artist, and music producer. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. He moved to Atlanta in 1997, where he refined his skills and gained a following, and he now lives in New York City. His first two studio albums, Room for Squares and Heavier Things, did well commercially, achieving multi-platinum status. In 2003, he won a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Your Body Is a Wonderland."
Mayer began his career performing mainly acoustic rock, but gradually began a transition towards the blues genre in 2005 by collaborating with renowned blues artists such as B. B. King, Buddy Guy, and Eric Clapton, and by forming the John Mayer Trio. The blues influence can be heard throughout his 2005 live album Try! with the John Mayer Trio and his third studio album Continuum, released in September 2006. At the 49th Annual Grammy Awards in 2007 Mayer won Best Pop Vocal Album for Continuum and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Waiting on the World to Change". He released his fourth studio album, Battle Studies, in November 2009. His fifth album, Born and Raised, was released on May 22, 2012. He has sold over 10 million albums in the U.S. and 20 million albums worldwide.

Neo Instruments MiniVENT Demo w/ Chris Buck

The MiniVENT is the smaller, but no-less-capable little brother of the renowned Ventilator, which has been used by the likes of John Mayer and Chuck Leavell. An incredibly versatile little pedal, the MiniVENT comes with two available presets and a nifty brake feature, which allows you to slow the 'speaker' to a complete stop, whilst still using the pedal's pre-amp. For this recording, I was using Preset A for a mellower sound, rather than Preset B, which is a closer distance setting with speaker simulation turned on which gives a more aggressive, SRV type-tone. There are also 5 adjustable drive intensities on both presets, ... -

Ramble FX Marvel Drive V3 Strat Demo (Chris Buck)
A quick video of some of the incredible sounds available from the V3 Marvel Drive. Needless to say, it does the cranked Plexi thing flawlessly (check out Pete Thorn's fantastic recent demo...) but I'm totally in love with its lower gain settings and thought I'd try and capture some of that magic. It really nails that early British Jimi vibe and has a beautiful grind that sounds just as sweet in isolation as it does in a band mix. It's also incredibly dynamic and touch sensitive; I hope this comes across in the video as much as it does under your fingers :) It also has a great little feature in in the internal charge pump which is new to the V3. This clip was recorded at 9v but in a full band setting, the 18v really helps the pedal come alive - a little extra headroom and and openness that... -

There are also 5 adjustable drive intensities on both presets, but to be honest, it sounded so great straight out of the box, I didn't really feel the need to mess around with it too much. They're there if you want them though!
All in all, an incredible little pedal that is the most accurate 122 simulation I've played to date. Thank you to Guido at NI for hooking me up :-)

A quick run through of just a few of the authentic Leslie sounds available on the Neo Instruments MiniVENT.
The MiniVENT is the smaller, but no-less-capable little brother of the renowned Ventilator, which has been used by the likes of John Mayer and Chuck Leavell. An incredibly versatile little pedal, the MiniVENT comes with two available presets and a nifty brake feature, which allows you to slow the 'speaker' to a complete stop, whilst still using the pedal's pre-amp.
For this recording, I was using Preset A for a mellower sound, rather than Preset B, which is a closer distance setting with speaker simulation turned on which gives a more aggressive, SRV type-tone. There are also 5 adjustable drive intensities on both presets, but to be honest, it sounded so great straight out of the box, I didn't really feel the need to mess around with it too much. They're there if you want them though!
All in all, an incredible little pedal that is the most accurate 122 simulation I've played to date. Thank you to Guido at NI for hooking me up :-)

A quick video of some of the incredible sounds available from the V3 Marvel Drive. Needless to say, it does the cranked Plexi thing flawlessly (check out Pete Thorn's fantastic recent demo...) but I'm totally in love with its lower gain settings and thought I'd try and capture some of that magic. It really nails that early British Jimi vibe and has a beautiful grind that sounds just as sweet in isolation as it does in a band mix. It's also incredibly dynamic and touch sensitive; I hope this comes across in the video as much as it does under your fingers :)
It also has a great little feature in in the internal charge pump which is new to the V3. This clip was recorded at 9v but in a full band setting, the 18v really helps the pedal come alive - a little extra headroom and and openness that really sings.

Listening to a recording by the Australian trio The Necks is akin to over- hearing a conversation between two giant sequoia trees. While humans might not perceive the growth and movement of the trees, mom and pop Sequoiadendron giganteum might comment, "Little Billy sure has sprouted up these past 400 years, he's outgrown all his school clothes, again!"
Open is the 17th album by pianist Chris Abrahams, drummer Tony Buck and bassist Lloyd Swanton. The band returns to their modus operandi, like their initial 1989 recording Sex (Private Music, 1995). Playing one long meditative piece (68 minutes), the trio utilizes slight and subtle changes, plus a pulse that could only be described as sequoia dance music. Not quite minimalism, nor ambient, the stillness they perfect is best described as smoldered improvisation.
After releasing the busy (by their standards) Mindset (ReR, 2011), this disc follows a stillness, albeit one with touches of electronics, electric guitar, and maybe a dulcimer. Opening with the ringing of a dulcimer (or is that the piano's insides?) the slow unraveling of sound begins. Wind chimes are rung as if the direction the band might take is left up to atmospheric pressure. However, after 25 years together, The Necks' music could never be describes as serendipitous.
Separately, each player can be found in the company of major players of creative music. Chris Abrahams collaborated with Alessandro Bosetti, Jason Kahn, and Burkhard Beins. Tony Buck plays in Trophies (with Bosetti), and with the likes of Otomo Yoshihide, Aki Takase, Axel Dorner, Christian Fennesz, and John Butcher. Swanton's bass can be heard in The Catholics, and with Jim O'Rourke and Michiyo Yagi.
In trio is where they produce nonpareil music.
Their unhurried approach is spread thick into this ponderous music. The sounds are easy to get lost in: surprise comes in the form of cymbal work, the odd bass riff and the twinkling of piano keys. The sounds are only perceived once you submit yourself to the lifestyle of old growth trees.

Swanton's bass can be heard in The Catholics, and with Jim O'Rourke and Michiyo Yagi.
In trio is where they produce nonpareil music.
Their unhurried approach is spread thick into this ponderous music. The sounds are easy to get lost in: surprise comes in the form of cymbal work, the odd bass riff and the twinkling of piano keys. The sounds are only perceived once you submit yourself to the lifestyle of old growth trees.
