NBA Jam is a basketball arcade game published and developed by Midway in 1993. It is the first entry in the NBA Jam series. The main designer and programmer for this game was Mark Turmell. Midway had previously released such sports games as Arch Rivals in 1989, High Impact in 1990, and Super High Impact in 1991. The gameplay of NBA Jam is based on Arch Rivals, another 2-on-2 basketball video game. However, it was the release of NBA Jam that brought mainstream success to the genre.
The game became exceptionally popular, and generated a significant amount of money for arcades after its release, creating revenue of $1 billion in quarters. In early 1994, the Amusement & Music Operators Association reported that NBA Jam had become the highest-earning arcade game of all time.
The release of NBA Jam gave rise to a new genre of sports games which were based around fast, action-packed gameplay and exaggerated realism, a formula which Midway would also later apply to the sports of football (NFL Blitz), and hockey (2 on 2 Open Ice Challenge).
"On Fire" is a song by Swiss recording artist Stefanie Heinzmann. It was written by Joachim Persson, Audra Mae, Johan Carl Axel Alkenas, and Niclas Molinder for her fourth studio album Chance of Rain (2015), while production was helmed by production collective Electric. The song was released as the album's second single in July 2015 and has since reached the top fifty of the Swiss Singles Chart.
On Fire is the debut album from hip hop group Stetsasonic. The group is famous for being one of hip hop's first live bands, a style that was influential over a number of later artists such as the Roots. The album was originally released in 1986; record label Tommy Boy Records re-released it in 2001 on compact disc for the first time with three bonus tracks. In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums.
Fire!! was an African-American literary magazine published in New York City in 1926 during the Harlem Renaissance. The publication was started by Wallace Thurman, Zora Neale Hurston, Aaron Douglas, John P. Davis, Richard Bruce Nugent, Gwendolyn Bennett, Lewis Grandison Alexander, Countee Cullen, and Langston Hughes. After it published one issue, its quarters burned down, and the magazine ended.
Fire!! was conceived to express the African-American experience during the Harlem Renaissance in a modern and realistic fashion, using literature as a vehicle of enlightenment. The magazine's founders wanted to express the changing attitudes of younger African Americans. In Fire!! they explored edgy issues in the Black community, such as homosexuality, bisexuality, interracial relationships, promiscuity, prostitution, and color prejudice.
Langston Hughes wrote that the name was intended to symbolize their goal "to burn up a lot of the old, dead conventional Negro-white ideas of the past ... into a realization of the existence of the younger Negro writers and artists, and provide us with an outlet for publication not available in the limited pages of the small Negro magazines then existing.". The magazine's headquarters burned to the ground shortly after it published its first issue. It ended operations.
Fire is a 1985 Dora Award winning musical by Paul Ledoux and David Young. The musical is based loosely on the story of Jerry Lee Lewis and his cousin Jimmy Swaggart and the divergent paths their lives took.
The musical follows the lives of the character "Cale Blackwell", based on real-life story of Jerry Lee Lewis and his brother "Herchel Blackwell" which is based on Lewis' real-life cousin Jimmy Swaggart. Herchel follows in the footsteps of his father, the reverend Blackwell's, as a preacher. Herchel's father is proud of him but does not approve of his son's use of the radio and then television while pioneering televangelism. The Reverend JD Blackwell is almost immediately disappointed with Cale who quickly finds fame as a Boogie-Woogie star and wallows in an accompanying life of rebellion against society and his own upbringing. Both brothers fall in love with their mutual childhood sweetheart "Molly King".
Ultimately neither brother can claim to have led a moral life, and both had succumbed to their own flaws.
"Fire (Yes, Yes Y'all)" (simply known as "Fire") is a song by American rapper Joe Budden, featuring Busta Rhymes. Produced by Just Blaze, the song is the second single from Budden's 2003 eponymous debut album.
The song was featured during the party scene in the movie Mean Girls. It was also featured in the pool scene of the pilot episode of Entourage. Joe Budden had made a remix with Paul Cain and Fabolous which appeared on the latter's mixtape, "More Street Dreams, Pt. 2: The Mixtape".
"Bodies" is a Sex Pistols song about the shock of abortion from the 1977 album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols. The lyrics contain very graphic imagery about a terminated fetus and feature a great deal of profanity for the time: the third and final verse begins with a couplet in which the word fuck is repeated five times in rapid succession. Along with the later "Belsen Was a Gas," it is probably the most graphic and controversial Sex Pistols song in both its subject matter and style. Musically, it is also the fastest and heaviest song in the Sex Pistols canon — characterized by thudding drums, droning buzzsaw guitar, and shouted vocals. As such, it can be considered a significant antecedent to the genres of hardcore, thrash, and speed metal that was to emerge in the mid-to-late-1980s.
"Bodies" is one of two songs on Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols which original Pistols bassist Glen Matlock did not co-write. It is also the only song on the album on which Sid Vicious actually plays bass, although his part was later overdubbed. The song was, like all other Sex Pistols songs, credited to the entire band, though Vicious was in the hospital with hepatitis when the band wrote it. It is mostly about a fan named Pauline, who was (as the song states) from Birmingham. She had been in a mental institution, where she apparently lived in a tree house, in the garden of the institution. This was where the line 'Her name was Pauline, she lived in a tree' comes from. The institution was also where she seems to have been raped by one of the male nurses. When she was released, she travelled to London, where she became a punk rock fan. She had several abortions. According to legend, she showed up once at John Lydon's door wearing nothing but a clear plastic bag and holding an aborted fetus in a clear plastic bag.

Kitchen nightmares and disasters can occur any time if you are not careful. In one video, a man was trying to make apples flambe for his wife and poured hot brandy in a hot pan, which set his stove ablaze. Nutley, New Jersey Fire Captain David Hamilton says you should never transfer flaming alcohol from one pan to another. “When you go to pour that, the flame is still gonna want to come up,” he told Inside Edition. YouTube is loaded with frightening videos of cooking catastrophes. #InsideEdition

You got your bleeding heart
all over my bed
and I knew from the start
that I'd be cleaning up your mess
Your such a pretty face
with no mind to match dear
and your souls disgrace to everyone who lives in fear
of all the men in suits and ties
the ones who pray on souls
weaker with lies
I'm going crazy trying to defend myself
and you're to blame
I'm doing alright
I'm doing just fine
my bodies on fire
and so is my mind
the cities a glow
with our burning light
and I'll be the one
to light up the wire
I'm doing alright
I'm doing just fine
my bodies on fire
and so is my mind
with questions that burn
through all of the night
tonight were doing alright
So let me ask you one thing
do you think I'm the bad guy
ripping up cities that are falling down
From the inside
I'm tearing out my soul tonight dear
wear it like a cloak but I fear
this city is the one that doesn't understand me
and Ill be coming back for more
I'm doing alright
I'm doing just fine
my bodies on fire
and so is my mind
with questions that burn
through all of the night
yeah
I don't wanna be alone
(I don't wanna be alone)
It's not fair
you never call me at home
(you never call me)
so I want your pretty face
out of my life
before I count to ten
I got my bags packed up
In tiny parcels and I'm making amends
(If I die will you just smile
throw my body on the pile
dive through hell
or let me fade away)
We can't lie here
anymore
it's only my life
so isn't it time
for you
to run away
You've got your soul stretched out
warn thin and it's slowly breaking me down
You've got those dagger eyes
They run me through
You've got to escape tonight
I don't wanna be alone
You never call me
Everyone has their little things
to do
But I'm the one who has to die
for you
So is this how it goes
I play life out all the time
laid down like a bad line
