Hiking the River Trail at Great Falls Park, Virginia
Went hiking this weekend on the Manistee River Trail. Started at the Hodenpyle Dam. Stayed two nights in the Hammocks and hiked to some water falls. Seen the Little Mac Bridge. Had a great time hiking with friends. Get outdoors and off the couch. Hiking is a great way to get healthy. Your video guide to the oregon outdoors. In this episode we we are headed to the Mt Hood National Forest where we hike the Upper Salmon River Trail # 742 to a wonderful waterfall called Frustrations Falls. We were hoping to see a few spawning salmon in the river, but we found something better. Probably one of the amazing waterfalls I have seen in some years within Oregon. This is a great place to go Camping, Backpacking, Hiking, Fishing, Climbing, kayaking and much more. Hoping each of you can get up and get out and explore this wonderful place within Oregon. Oregon Exploration is all about giving fellow hikers, fisherman, climbers, and paddlers knowledge about the variety of places within the Oregon Outdoors. We hope that with this knowledge it will allow for you to pick a p...
Took a trip up north to Michigan to explore the Manistee National Forest over Labor day weekend. After being stuck in traffic, getting lost, and going off roading, we finally found a road that lead us to the campground where we would sleep for the night. This is our 23 mile journey on a 3 night 2 day backpacking trip that starts off in the campground where we stayed on night one. Video is a little shaky and I am aware. Using a new editing program to hopefully bring better videos in the future!
Rode our bikes from Corona CA to Newport Beach Pier 67 miles total, was a perfect day!!
The McKenzie River Trail, one of Oregon's most well known trails. 26.5 miles of singletrack in the scenic Mckenzie River Valley. The trail has two very different segments. The upper half is really technical and recommended for advanced riders. The lower half is much smoother trail well suited for a wide range of ability levels.
A walk through the Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park late June 2013. This is raw footage and has not been enhances or altered from our hike along the Hoh River Trail this year. We're based in Utah where forests like this are almost alien to us, and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. These woods seemed almost magical. Olympic National Park is easily the lushes place I've ever visited. May it long remain that way.
The River Trail is a 1.5 mile (one way) trail that parallels the Potomac River, along the cliff tops of the Mather Gorge, just down river from Great Falls. The trail is located in Great Falls Park, in Fairfax County, Virginia. Park literature rates the trail as moderate-difficult, though personally I did not find the trail difficult at all. It is a short trail with very little elevation change. I suspect the trail rating is due to the very rocky conditions. Also, in some sections the trail passes just along the edge of some very high cliffs. One wrong step could mean almost certain death LOL! The River Trail offers spectacular views of the Potomac River and Mather Gorge. Thanks for watching! Be sure to LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE! LIKE my Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com...
