On March 10, the 2016 Australia Council awards honoured eight distinguished Australian artists who have made long-standing lifetime and outstanding achievement awards in music, literature, community arts and cultural development, visual arts, theatre, dance, and emerging and experimental arts.

The Australia Council for the Arts is pleased to announce that the full program for VIPs is available online. Delivered alongside the Sydney Writers’ Festival in May, the VIPs program is a chance for overseas publishers to immerse themselves in Australia’s unique literary culture, provide insight into global publishing trends, and expand opportunities for Australian authors overseas.

The Program offers a dynamic suite of development opportunities for arts leaders at all career stages. The Program comprises of five components including: the Arts Leaders Program, Future Leaders Program, Governance Program, Mentoring, Secondments, and Partnerships.
