Verboden te filmen in Maastricht? We dachten het even van niet!
Tijdens het maken van een reportage is het JDTV team meermaals bedreigd door straatdealers die ons probeerden in te sluiten, hierna konden wij vastleggen hoe coffeeshophouder Marc Josemans afgeperst werd en werden wij zelf ook nog eens bedreigd met een mes.
Sinds de invoering van de wietpas intimideren straatdealers de toeristen, bevolking en ondernemers van Maastricht? Hoelang moeten deze mensen dit nog ondergaan, want het is duidelijk dat dit beleid volledig faalt!

listen) (northern); Limburgish (incl. Maastrichtian) Mestreech [məˈstʁeːç]; French Maëstricht (archaic); Spanish Mastrique (archaic)) is a city in the Netherlands. It is located in the southern part of the Dutch province of Limburg, of which it is the capital.
Maastricht is widely known as a city of history, culture, local folklore, education. Furthermore, it has become known, by way of the Maastricht Treaty, as the birthplace of the European Union, European citizenship, and the single European currency, the euro. The town is popular with tourists for shopping and recreation, and has a large growing international student population. Maastricht is a member of the Most Ancient European Towns Network.
Maastricht is situated on both sides of the Meuse river (Dutch: Maas) in the south-eastern part of the Netherlands, on the Belgian border (with both the Dutch-speaking Flemish and French-speaking Walloon region within easy reach from the city centre) and near the German border. The city is part of the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion, the Euregio that includes Aachen, Hasselt and Liège in respectively Germany and Belgium.

Tijdens het maken van een reportage is het JDTV team meermaals bedreigd door straatdealers die ons probeerden in te sluiten, hierna konden wij vastleggen hoe coffeeshophouder Marc Josemans afgeperst werd en werden wij zelf ook nog eens bedreigd met een mes.
Sinds de invoering van de wietpas intimideren straatdealers de toeristen, bevolking en ondernemers van Maastricht? Hoelang moeten deze mensen dit nog ondergaan, want het is duidelijk dat dit beleid volledig faalt!

Examined the Old City Wall along the Jeker River, strolled through the Stadpark to Fort Saint Peter (Fort Sint Pieter) where we missed our tour of the Limestone Caves.

Politie misbruikt haar macht en beperkt onnonodig de vrijheid van de burgers en toeristen in Maastricht.
Tijdens het opnemen/filmen word ik continue bedreigd/gecontroleerd door politie....waardoor ik in mijn werk maar ook prive gehinderd word en ik letterlijk bang ben om soms beeld matriaal te verliezen door bedreigingen van politie ,en hiervoor allemaal extra kosten heb moeten maken om een live/draadloze opslag verbinding te hebben waar van alles direct een backup word gemaakt.
Ook wordt continue gevraagd naar een Politie Perskaart, wat ik niet heb,noch verder nodig heb: een politieperskaart alleen nodig is bij een noodtoestand en dat we wisten wel dat het erg is in Maastricht maar dat het zo ernstig was, misschien moet er naast een negatief reisadvies voor hurgada ook een komen voor mexico aan de maas
Voorlopig heeft de politie alleen maar bereikt dat er blijkbaar geen persvrijheid meer is in Maastricht en dat de politie alleen communiceert met door haar goedgekeurde staatskanalen.
Ook is te zien hoe het nieuwe beleid dat nu word toegepast als experiment in Maastricht gewoon niet werkt en de stad nu alleen nog negatief in het nieuws komt en echt niemand meer welkom is, maar dit wordt toch wel degelijk veroorzaakt door onze politiek.....De aanpak van de coffeeshops/ gedoogbeleid waarom Nederland door de hele wereld werd geprezen en nu steeds meer landen volgen met legalisatie/een passend systeem te creëren en ook de vele positieve kanten van dit alles in zien,,,,wij met sprongen achteruit lopen.En de criminaliteit steeds zwaarder en agressiever wordt op straat. Om aan te tonen dat er een soort van media sencuur wordt toegepast op de werkelijke situatie in Maastricht , ben ik nog lang niet van plan om te stoppen. Ik wacht dan ook verdere aangiften/boetes tegen mij af.Het verbaast mij dat deze agenten dreigen met aangiftes. Ik heb inmiddels al diverse agenten verteld dat zij na publicatie net zoals iedereen een klacht kunnen indienen bij de raad voor de journalistiek als ze problemen hebben met de publicaties van marlonmaastricht. Zelf heb ik inmiddels een klacht ingedient bij het meldpunt politie van de NVJ, wegens de weigering van de afdeling persvoorlichting van de politie maastricht om mij te woord te staan. Hoewel MarlonMaastricht nog niet zo lang bestaat zijn mijn filmpjes al wel gebruikt door diverse media en weblogs. Hiermee lijkt mij aangetoond dat mijn werkzaamheden wel degelijk als nieuwswaardig worden gezien. Ik zal mij niet neerleggen bij deze intimidatie door de politie en mijn werkzaamheden gewoon blijven vervolgen.
Binnenkort op dit kanaal opnieuw een reportage waarin te zien is hoe de politie zich inzet om een beginnend journalist het werken onmogelijk te maken

After spending the early afternoon here, we take a bus down to Aachen in Germany to visit the second Weihnachtsmarkt of the day. In the evening we head back to Maastricht and Amsterdam right after.
