We had a nice enduro ride at Kavron pleatau and Kackar mountain which is the highest mountain of Turkey, located in east blacksea zone of Turkey. Then reached Derebaşı area which is located right below the main rock of Kackar.. The people we have met along the way has motivated us. And we had the pleasure of enjoying the outstanding scene

Kaçkar Mountains
Kaçkar Mountains (Armenian: Խաչքար Լեռները; Turkish: Kaçkar Dağları) or simply Kaçkars (Turkish: Kaçkarlar) are a mountain range that rises above the Black Sea coast in eastern Turkey.
With highest peak Kaçkar Dağı at an elevation of 3,937 metres (12,917 ft), and mountain plateaus at about 3,000 m (9,800 ft) in elevation, it is the highest part of the Pontic Mountains. The Kaçkars are glaciated mountains that are alpine in character, with steep rocky peaks and numerous mountain lakes. The area was declared a national park in 1994. Tourism activities in the park include hiking, camping, mountaineering, and, increasingly, heliskiing.
Geography and etymology
The name Kaçkar (from Armenian khachkar (Խաչքար) literally meaning "cross stone") may be used in various senses. It may describe the whole mountain range, including the many mountain groups, or it may just describe the Kaçkar-Kavron group with its highest peak, or just the highest peak itself. The local name of the highest peak or its mountain group Kaçkar Dağı translates to Kaçkar Mountain, and the name of the range Kaçkar Dağları translates to Kaçkar Mountains.

Kackar Mountains National Park
Kackar Mountains, which have an elevation of 3972 m, constitute the highest summit of the Black Sea. This is one of the focus points of the sport of mountaineering in Turkey. The mountaineering groups and mountain climbing enthusiasts coming to the region are generally walking from the Yaylalar village of Yusufeli town in Artvin to the Ayder plateau of Camlihemsin town in Rize and complete their Trans - Kackar walk. The township whose territory is made up in the majority of mountainous and rough terrain, also possesses suitable areas for hunting tourism. The hunting grounds in the region include mountain goats, bears, wolves, foxes and wild trout.

Old Houses and Tombs in Erzurum, Turkey
http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com Ezurum is a conservative town, located on a plateau in the Kackar Mountains. Its origins date back to 3000 BC when it caravan routes from Anatolia to Persia (modern day Iran) criss-crossed Eastern Anatolia. There are three important sights in Ezurum, One on this video with the others to follow in subsequent videos. They are: three (3) 12th century tombs; a Twin Minaret Medresa and old Citadel. Our exploration began by walking past 100+ year old houses that were built with the Turkish version of what is now Thermopane windows on the way to Seljuk tombs.
