Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (pronounced BAH-ah-MOO-tay; born 9 September 1986) is a Cameroonian professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Mbah a Moute also plays for the Cameroon national basketball team.
From Montverde Academy in Florida, Mbah a Moute led the Pac-10 Champion Bruins in rebounding as a freshman. Mbah a Moute led or tied for the lead for the Bruins in rebounding in 27 regular season games. In the NCAA tournament, Mbah a Moute scored the winning layup at the end of a comeback win over Gonzaga in the Sweet 16. Mbah a Moute also posted 17 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist in a Final Four victory over LSU. For the year, Mbah a Moute averaged 8.9 points and 8.1 rebounds, and he was named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year.
He became something of a cult phenomenon among the UCLA faithful. Along with fellow Cameroonian Alfred Aboya, the dynamic duo sparked the "Cameroon Crazies" (a take-off of Duke's "Cameron Crazies" fans) section, along with an enormously popular T-shirt which read "Moute Kicks Boute". Mbah a Moute himself became known as 'The Fresh Prince', after the television show of the same name.
I don't really expect anyone to watch this video; this one is more for my enjoyment than yours. I think back to all the good times I watching Luc Richard Mbah a Moute on the Bucks. Seems like little has changed. He still, after all these years, hasn't developed a stable jumpshot. He still gets to start even though he can't score, because he can guard a multitude of positions and slow down the opposing team's best scorer. The man who Kevin Durant once called the toughest player to score on in the league, still a valued piece on what now looks like the best team in the league. We're sorry that we didn't fully appreciate your talents in Milwaukee, Luc. But maybe it was for the best, our separation. After a tough year in Philly mentoring their young talent, you finally get to play for a winn...
Everybody (including me) gets on the Clippers' case for consistently failing to acquire any kind of decent small forward to compliment their Paul/Redick/Griffin/Jordan core (a core which might not be around next season). And it's true that the acquisitions of Wesley Johnson (LOL [lots of laughs]), Paul Pierce, and Alan Anderson haven't really paid off for them. But Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is, in some ways, the perfect low-volume wing to pair with those guys. He can pick up tough defensive assignments. He doesn't need the ball in his hands to make an impact. He won't take away shots from better players who deserve those shots more. He just slots right in. All that gooey feel-good garbage aside, Mbah a Moute is not a scorer and has never been a scorer. Since scoring is the most important p...

Tough loss for the Bucks tonight. Just not enough scoring punch to overcome the Hornets. If only there were some former players still around and still scoring in bunches. Bad news, Bucks fans. Remember that Cameroonian prince that we dumped unceremoniously for two secound round picks? He scored 19 points tonight, a number that would have turned defeat into victory were he still on the team. I'm tired of the GM trading promising young players for garbage. You may also remember a hairless chucker named Charlie Villanueva, who scored 18, again, enough to win if we hadn't kicked his ass to the curb. The incompetence of the Bucks front-office astounds me again and again. All clips property of the NBA. No copyright infringement is intended.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute was just getting ready to head home when he was approached by a nervous-looking Jerami Grant. "What's up, rookie?" asked Luc. "Well," Jerami started, scratching his scalp nervously. "Some of the guys were saying that, you being a veteran and all, that you knew a lot. That you could give advice." "Of course. Ask away." Jerami still looked uncomfortable. "This might be a dumb question, but..." Luc tried to put on his best "sympathetic" face. "I'm not going to laugh, Jerami. You can ask me anything. We were all rookies at some point." With these reassurances, Jerami appeared to relax a small amount. "Luc, how do babies get made?" Luc tried his best not to look shocked. He also had to work hard to restrain his laughter. "Nobody ever told you?" "Nope." This didn...

Nerlens Noel awkwardly shuffled to the other end of the locker room, hiding his hands behind his back. "Hey, Luc, some of the other guys said you give real good advice." Luc Richard Mbah a Moute looked up from his phone, which was displaying the latest Cameroonian news. Grinning, he answered, "I just want to help you youngsters out." Nerlens smiled a smile of relief. "Cool, 'cause I could really use some help right now. I was chatting with Jerami before the game and he told me that when you're makin' love to a woman, there's some way that you can stop babies from happenin'.
