Amazon tribal chiefs Raoni Metuktire and Megaron Txucarramae highlight environmental situation in Brazilian rainforest. Two weeks ago, with World Cup 2014 preparations in full swing, protesters from the Kayapo people of the Amazon joined other indigenous people in a clash with the Brazilian riot police. If the dam is built, the Kayapó village land will be flooded and the river will be damaged beyond repair. The entire Amazon ecosystem would be deranged with irreparable consequences for everyone.

Dutilleux was born in Malmedy, Belgium, director, anthropologist, explorer and defender of Indian rights
In 1973 he made his first contact with the hostile tribe Txuccaramaes (those who hit with sticks) of the Kayapo, the savage heart of Matto Grosso, where nearly lost his life in the hands of the tribe, the chief Raoni saved his life .
Since then, Jean Pierre was dedicated to saving the territory of this tribe, of government of that country, making a world tour with the chief Raoni where senior leaders, the nobility and Pope John Paul II ,the received

Dutellieux visited the most remote places in search of primitive tribes, as the Toulambis ,that live as in the Stone Age and are being decimated by logging of their forests, and diseases like malaria.
He leads them medication and is responsible for helping to protect their rights and tribal lands

Sheik Th'aban Al-Bazoun: [We say] to the terrorists, the supporters of takfir, to Al-Qaeda: If you want Iraq to be as Islamic state so badly, shouldn't you make your own countries Islamic first? What, they come from Morocco to establish an Islamic state in Iraq?! Why don't they turn Morocco into an Islamic state? They come from Saudi Arabia to turn Iraq into an Islamic state. They cross the border and blow themselves up - why don't they blow themselves up in Saudi Arabia? After all, the Americans are present in Saudi Arabia, as well as in the UAE, in Bahrain, in Egypt, and in all the Arab countries. They have bases there. Go blow yourself up there. Instead of blowing up Iraqi children in schools, universities, and markets, go blow yourself up there. Go establish an Islamic state in Morocco, Tunisia, and Sudan. But one cannot establish an Islamic state by blowing up children, women, schools, or universities, or by means of terrorism and murder. We've become victims of people who come here from across the borders in order to kill Iraqi citizens, because they want to establish an Islamic state in Iraq. They want to force women to wear the veil. In their own countries women do not wear the veil. They want to force Iraqi Christian women to wear Islamic gowns. Christian women here do not wear these gowns. In their own countries, people wear pants and cowboy jeans. In your country, Saudi Arabia, people smoke marijuana on the beach, yet you come to Iraq to establish an Islamic state?!

The chief of the most powerful Tuareg tribe in northern Mali died on Thursday, signaling a change of leadership as Tuareg separatists are locked in peace talks with the government. The 87-year-old patriarch Intallah Ag Attaher, who had led the Ifoghas tribe for several decades, died in the desert town of Kidal after a long sickness, residents said. In 2013, Alghabass split from the Tuareg Islamist movement Ansar Dine and called for negotiations to end a simmering conflict in northern Mali. Ansar Dine was part of a coalition of Islamist groups that seized control of northern Mali in 2012 in the wake of a Tuareg separatist uprising.

A leading Sunni tribal chief said the Obama administration should not rely on Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to solve the rising insurgency in the crumbling state.
Sheik Ali Hatem al-Suleiman, the emir of the Sunni Dulaim tribe from Anbar province, criticized a recent speech by President Barack Obama in which the US leader stopped short of calling for al-Maliki to resign.
"I think that most of President Obama's speech, but not all of it, was shallow and didn't address the heart of the matter ... the real problem in Iraq is al-Maliki himself," he said on Thursday in Irbil.
"You can't rely on him. The man has become paralysed."
Al-Suleiman also criticized Obama's decision to send 300 military advisers to Iraq to help with the sectarian crisis.
"300 advisors, just when you withdraw these 300 advisors, Iraq will lose its balance for one reason."
The 300 military advisers Obama announced on Thursday would join up to 275 being positioned in and around Iraq to provide security and support for the US Embassy in Baghdad and other American interests.
Al-Salman also sought to distance the Sunni tribes he leads from the fast-moving insurgency of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
The al-Qaida-inspired group has prevailed over Iraqi security forces, conquering several cities, and is now threatening al-Maliki's government.

A tribal chief is the leader of a tribal society or chiefdom. Tribal societies with social stratification under a single (or dual) leader emerged in the Neolithic period out of earlier tribal structures with little stratification, and they remained prevalent throughout the Iron Age.
In the case of indigenous tribal societies existing within larger colonial and post-colonial states, tribal chiefs may represent their tribe or ethnicity in a form of self-government.
The most common types are the chairman of a council (usually of "elders") and/or a broader popular assembly in "parliamentary" cultures, the war chief (may be an alternative or additional post in war time), the hereditary chief and the politically dominant medicineman (in "theocratic" cultures).
The term is usually distinct from chiefs at still lower levels, such as village headman (geographically defined) or clan chief (an essentially genealogical notion), as the notion "tribal" rather requires an ethno-cultural identity (racial, linguistic, religious etc.) as well as some political (representative, legislative, executive and/or judicial) expression.

He feels that one of his invitees can be trusted to take his place and for this he has arranged for them to steal a diamond (Shalimar) worth 135 crores of rupees. This gem is placed in a secure place within his palace, which is alarmed, and guarded by armed men 24 hours a day. He challenges one of them to steal the shalimar - but if anyone fails then they are killed instantly. Pitted against such veterans, it looks like Kumar has got himself into a bind that he may not come out of in one piece.

The chief of the most powerful Tuareg tribe in northern Mali died on Thursday, signaling a change of leadership as Tuareg separatists are locked in peace talks with the government. The 87-year-old patriarch Intallah Ag Attaher, who had led the Ifoghas tribe for several decades, died in the desert town of Kidal after a long sickness, residents said. Sunni tribal chief says sending US military advisors to Iraq could worsen insurgency
A leading Sunni tribal chief said the Obama administration should not rely on Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to solve the rising insurgency in the crumbling state. Sheik Ali Hatem al-Suleiman, the emir of the Sunni Dulaim tribe from Anbar province, criticized a recent speech by President Barack Obama in which the US leader stopped short of calling for al-Maliki to resign. "I think that most of President Obama's speech, but not all of it, was shallow and didn't address the heart of the matter ... the real problem in Iraq is al-Maliki himself," he said on Thursday in Irbil. Following are excerpts from a public address delivered by Iraqi tribal Chief Sheik Th'aban Al-Bazoun, which aired on Al-Fayhaa TV on December 4, 2007:
Sheik Th'aban Al-Bazoun: [We say] to the terrorists, the supporters of takfir, to Al-Qaeda: If you want Iraq to be as Islamic state so badly, shouldn't you make your own countries Islamic first? What, they come from Morocco to establish an Islamic state in Iraq?! Why don't they turn Morocco into an Islamic state? They come from Saudi Arabia to turn Iraq into an Islamic state. They cross the border and blow themselves up - why don't they blow themselves up in Saudi Arabia? After all, the Americans are present in Saudi Arabia, as well as in the UAE, in Bahrain, in Egypt, and in all the Arab countries. They have bases there. Go blow yourself up there. Instead of blowing up Iraqi children in schools, universities, and markets, go blow yourself up there. Go establish an Islamic state in Morocco, Tunisia, and Sudan. But one cannot establish an Islamic state by blowing up children, women, schools, or universities, or by means of terrorism and murder. We've become victims of people who come here from across the borders in order to kill Iraqi citizens, because they want to establish an Islamic state in Iraq. They want to force women to wear the veil. In their own countries women do not wear the veil. They want to force Iraqi Christian women to wear Islamic gowns. Christian women here do not wear these gowns. In their own countries, people wear pants and cowboy jeans. In your country, Saudi Arabia, people smoke marijuana on the beach, yet you come to Iraq to establish an Islamic state?!

A leading Sunni tribal chief said the Obama administration should not rely on Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to solve the rising insurgency in the crumbling state.
Sheik Ali Hatem al-Suleiman, the emir of the Sunni Dulaim tribe from Anbar province, criticized a recent speech by President Barack Obama in which the US leader stopped short of calling for al-Maliki to resign.
"I think that most of President Obama's speech, but not all of it, was shallow and didn't address the heart of the matter ... the real problem in Iraq is al-Maliki himself," he said on Thursday in Irbil.
"You can't rely on him. The man has become paralysed."
Al-Suleiman also criticized Obama's decision to send 300 military advisers to Iraq to help with the sectarian crisis.
"300 advisors, just when you withdraw these 300 advisors, Iraq will lose its balance for one reason."
The 300 military advisers Obama announced on Thursday would join up to 275 being positioned in and around Iraq to provide security and support for the US Embassy in Baghdad and other American interests.
Al-Salman also sought to distance the Sunni tribes he leads from the fast-moving insurgency of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
The al-Qaida-inspired group has prevailed over Iraqi security forces, conquering several cities, and is now threatening al-Maliki's government.
