Madness may refer to:
A day is a unit of time. In common usage, it is an interval equal to 24 hours. It also can mean the consecutive period of time during which the Sun is above the horizon, also known as daytime. The period of time during which the Earth completes one rotation with respect to the Sun is called a solar day.
Several definitions of this universal human concept are used according to context, need and convenience. In 1967, the second was redefined in terms of the wavelength of light, and was designated the SI base unit of time. The unit of measurement "day", redefined in 1967 as 86 400 SI seconds and symbolized d, is not an SI unit, but is accepted for use with SI. A civil day is usually also 86 400 seconds, plus or minus a possible leap second in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), and, in some locations, occasionally plus or minus an hour when changing from or to daylight saving time. The word day may also refer to a day of the week or to a calendar date, as in answer to the question "On which day?" The life patterns of humans and many other species are related to Earth's solar day and the day-night cycle (see circadian rhythms).

Smoke & Mirrors is the fifth studio album by American alternative rock band Lifehouse. It was released on March 2, 2010 by Geffen Records. Lifehouse began to work on the album with record producer Jude Cole in the fall of 2008 at Cole's Ironworks Studio. The band collaborated with American singer-songwriter Kevin Rudolf and Chris Daughtry of the band Daughtry while working on the album.
The album received mixed reviews from critics, and peaked at number six on the Billboard 200, selling 54,000 copies in its first week. It became the fourth highest debut album on the chart for the week of March 20, 2010. It also debuted at number 15 on the Canadian Albums Chart, which became its peak on the chart.
The album's lead single, "Halfway Gone", was released October 26, 2009, charting on several Billboard charts including Billboard's Hot 100, Adult Contemporary, Digital Songs, Hot Dance Club Songs, Pop Songs, and Radio Songs charts.
Lifehouse began working on the album with record producer Jude Cole in the fall of 2008, after the band had come off of the tour that supported their fourth studio album, Who We Are. The band worked on Smoke & Mirrors for over a year, recording thirty-five tracks, before settling on the twelve tracks that appear on the album. During this time, the band collaborated with American singer-songwriter Kevin Rudolf on the album's lead single, "Halfway Gone" and with Daughtry's lead singer Chris Daughtry on the song "Had Enough". In an interview with Billboard, Rudolf said, "I chose [to do] 'Halfway Gone' because Jason Wade is such a great writer, great singer, and great artist."
In Reverse is the seventh album by alternative rock musician Matthew Sweet. It was released on Volcano Entertainment in 1999.
The upside-down cover of the album features an oil painting by artist Margaret Keane, and the liner notes are in reverse.
The album was met with little commercial success, but with very favorable reviews. Rolling Stone wrote that the "songs are such perfect little valentines that the production just brings them larger to life".Entertainment Weekly gave the album an A-, noting the "intriguing side trips into forests of thick guitar chords".CMJ wrote that the songs "transcend museum-quality affectation and exude a multitude of bittersweet charms.". Critic Stephen Thompson of The A.V. Club wrote that In Reverse "finds [Sweet] once again at his best", adding that "its 14 tracks are uniformly strong, with muscular rockers ("Split Personality," "Write Your Own Song") competing for attention with smooth, lush, sugary fare ("If Time Permits," the knockout ballads "Trade Places" and "Worse To Live"). Stephen Thomas Erlewine, of Allmusic, praised the record's "cavernous reverb", and wrote that "this rich music is a personal interpretation of lush chamber pop and psychedelia, giving a musical counterpart for lovely melancholy songs of heartbreak and disillusion". Jerry McCulley of Amazon.com wrote, "Epic in scope and harmonically intoxicating," adding, "this is an album by an artist measuring the distance between his reach and his grasp, his good sense and self-indulgence, his confidence growing with every back-to-the future track."
One of our favourites from the Mad Not Mad album, we think we are the first to cover it on Youtube, but we'd love to be proved wrong!
[Lyrics Madness - Coldest Day] No I never heard through the grapevine How you left long before your time But in France on the radio I could not understand a word But I thought you'd go We waited all night for the midnight lover's calling It was the coldest day of the year and I'm still falling I didn't sleep a wink but while radio played I was day dreaming of what might have been While the cold night air was freezing The coldest night, the coldest day of the year What is happening, mother, father please Who will save us from the autumn breeze Shivering to April, no one wants to speak too soon Although we all knew under the pale blue moon The pale moon, the pale blue moon What happens then, when the sun goes down Tell me what's the word Johanaseburg When the rent...

On one of the coldest days of the year in ireland Three Mad [but only half mad] men head for the summit of mount Brandon. A bit about Brandon: Mount Brandon or Brandon Mountain (Irish: Cnoc Bréanainn, meaning Brendan's hill is a 952 m (3123 ft) mountain on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. It is the highest peak of the unnamed central mountain range of the Dingle Peninsula. It is the highest Irish peak outside the Macgillycuddy's Reeks. It is classed as a Furth by the Scottish Mountaineering Club. Mount Brandon is named after Saint Brendan and is the end of a Christian pilgrimage trail known as Cosán na Naomh. The small village of Brandon lies at the foot of the mountain, on the north side.
What caused a love so special to be broken down to misery?
Everything caused me agony.
And in your eyes, did you see the consequences of your actions.
My life was changing before you.
Maybe you were just blinded.
Blinded by your own selfishness.
But now I am much stronger.
And I have decided to make a change.
And I have learned from your mistakes.
A family torn by reckless decay.
A love that was pure turned to hate.
A child left so scared and afraid.
What happened to your commitment so sacred?
Separation, threw me into depression.
A child born loved, now torn by divorce.
All I could do was watch your love fade away.
Our lives were forever changed.
But when I think about all the mistakes you had made.
My heart now gives forgiveness for all you could not change.
Nothing makes me stronger than the love of family.
