Kevin Feige, PGA (/ˈfaɪɡiː/; FY-ghee; born June 2, 1973) is an American film producer and president of Marvel Studios. The films he has produced have a combined worldwide box office gross of $8.3 billion.
On the first X-Men film, Richard Donner made Feige an associate producer, due to his knowledge of the Marvel Universe. Impressing Avi Arad, he was hired to work as his second-in-command at Marvel Studios that same year. Feige was named president of production for Marvel Studios in March 2007.
In November 2012, it was announced that Feige would receive the Motion Picture Showman of the Year award at the ICG Publicists Guild Awards on February 22, 2013. The Awards committee chairman, Henri Bollinger, said "Kevin Feige's understanding and appreciation of publicity and promotion in the role of a movie's success has led to a string of blockbuster feature films adapted from the pages of Marvel comic books during the past 10 years." As of April 2015, his contract with Marvel Studios will end in 2018.
"The Man" is a slang phrase that may refer to the government or to some other authority in a position of power. In addition to this derogatory connotation, it may also serve as a term of respect and praise.
The phrase "the Man is keeping me down" is commonly used to describe oppression. The phrase "stick it to the Man" encourages resistance to authority, and essentially means "fight back" or "resist", either passively, openly or via sabotage.
As a phrase meaning "the boss" it dates from at least 1918.
In the Southern U.S. states, the phrase came to be applied to any man or any group in a position of authority, or to authority in the abstract. From about the 1950s the phrase was also an underworld code word for police, the warden of a prison or other law enforcement or penal authorities.
The use of this term was expanded to counterculture groups and their battles against authority, such as the Yippies, which, according to a May 19, 1969 article in U.S. News and World Report, had the "avowed aim ... to destroy 'The Man', their term for the present system of government". The term eventually found its way into humorous usage, such as in a December 1979 motorcycle ad from the magazine Easyriders which featured the tagline, "California residents: Add 6% sales tax for The Man."
Captain America is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by cartoonists Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (cover dated March 1941) from Timely Comics, a predecessor of Marvel Comics. Captain America was designed as a patriotic supersoldier who often fought the Axis powers of World War II and was Timely Comics' most popular character during the wartime period. The popularity of superheroes waned following the war and the Captain America comic book was discontinued in 1950, with a short-lived revival in 1953. Since Marvel Comics revived the character in 1964, Captain America has remained in publication.
Captain America wears a costume that bears an American flag motif, and is armed with a nearly indestructible shield that he throws at foes. The character is usually depicted as the alter ego of Steve Rogers, a frail young man enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum to aid the United States government's imminent efforts in World War II. Near the end of the war, he was trapped in ice and survived in suspended animation until he was revived in the present day. Although Captain America often struggles to maintain his ideals as a man out of his time with its modern realities, he remains a highly respected figure in his community which includes becoming the long-time leader of the Avengers.

This past weekend at Comic-Con 2016, Marvel Studios took the Hall H stage and did what they always do: own the room. The crowd went wild as Marvel unveiled the first footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, announced the star of Captain Marvel, and showed off new footage from Doctor Strange. Shortly after the panel ended, Collider’s own Steven Weintraub caught up with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige backstage and spoke at length about a litany of upcoming projects. Feige discussed how 3D has been such an essential part of Doctor Strange that they’re now struggling with making sure the visuals work in 2D, and he also gave a rundown of Marvel’s slate as it stands now, including filming dates for Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War and when we can ex...

A major shake up has taken place over at Disney and Marvel studios. In the power structure over at Marvel, President Kevin Feige has reported to Marvel Entertainment CEO Ike Perlmutter for approval on projects. Word is that the relationship between Feige and Perlmutter has been a tense one as Perlmutter has turned down several Feige ideas and initiatives and almost shut down the storyline idea for CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. However, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Feige will no longer be reporting to Perlmutter, but will rather be reporting directly to Disney Studios Chief Alan Horn, apparently giving Feige more freedom in running Marvel Films. HitFix caught up with Marvel Wizard, Kevin Feige to chat about 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'.
The two biggest fans of Richard Donner's Superman films come to work for him, they become friends themselves and now are the public face for DC and Marvel film universes. The importance of "Superman 78'" in creating the Superhero/Comic Book film genre is one thing but as this revealing article shows (http://www.newsarama.com/4982-superman-the-secret-history-of-kevin-feige-geoff-johns.html) Superman 78' is directly responsible in making Kevin Fiege choosing to make a shot at a career like the one he currently has. I have a great feeling that Geoff, finally getting the responsibility and control he should have had from the begininig is a WB fail, but now finally at least we can see if something can happen to get it going in a positive direction again.
