The name Westland or Westlands may refer to:
South is a noun, adjective, or adverb indicating direction or geography. It is one of the four cardinal directions or compass points. South is the polar opposite of north and is perpendicular to east and west.
The word south comes from Old English sūþ, from earlier Proto-Germanic *sunþaz ("south"), possibly related to the same Proto-Indo-European root that the word sun derived from.
By convention, the bottom side of a map is south, although reversed maps exist that defy this convention. To go south using a compass for navigation, set a bearing or azimuth of 180°. Alternatively, in the Northern Hemisphere outside the tropics, the Sun will be roughly in the south at midday.
True south is the direction towards the southern end of the axis about which the earth rotates, called the South Pole. The South Pole is located in Antarctica. Magnetic south is the direction towards the south magnetic pole, some distance away from the south geographic pole.
Roald Amundsen, from Norway, was the first to reach the South Pole, on 14 December 1911, after Ernest Shackleton from the UK was forced to turn back some distance short.

It was decided that Brad and I better go out for a hunt before he and his wife had their baby later in the year so I thought I would try get him the big three in one hunt. We didn't quite manage it (I must say I was having an off day(s) with my shooting) but we had a great time on the tops in some splendid weather and saw lots of animals. Bring on the next one!
A quick trip away with the lads before we all went back to work for the year. The location is no secret. A beautiful place to visit! Came out with a couple of "trophies", a bunch of meat and memories of time well spent. As a old mate once said "You remember the laughs" Footage and photos by Tim Butcher and Brad Inder
Hayden, his Dad Bruce and I were fortunate to be allocated the Mahitahi block for period six of the 2016 ballot. Some poor weather meant the block had seen limited hunting pressure. The weather gods played nice and we enjoyed some bluebird days. Best of all, Bruce came away with his first Bull! And to finish off the trip, Hayden scored a beautiful 14" Bull. Now where to next......

The most exhilarating flight yet - this time in Volkmar Wollenweber's beautiful Alpi Pioneer 200, ZK-PKT. Steady descent down the Franz Josef Glacier with lots of helicopter sightseeing traffic. Landing at the (curved) Okarito grass strip. A truly stunning flight, the first of three that day. Check out the second and third spectacular flights which were also recorded on the GoPro.
