During his life, rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard, left fans with countless memorable moments, one in particular was when he took his kids on a limo ride to pick up their welfare checks, which aired on MTV. The late rapper's oldest son, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Jr., says he was 7 when it happened, and often looks back at the "regular" ride in 1995. "I was the one in the front with the braids sticking up." He said, "I had to be 7... it was a regular moment in life for me."
During his talk with DJ Vlad, the 26-year-old reminisces about witnessing his father use drugs right before his untimely his death. "I use to smoke weed when I was younger, but this was different. My father was doing it in front of me and looking dead in my eye." After that very moment, he says went home and received a call that his father had died from an overdose, "It happened out of nowhere, it was so quick."

http://www.vladtv.com - Inspectah Deck looked back at his days with the Wu-Tang, and shared some stories about being around ODB with VladTV.
The New York emcee explained that while he and Ol' Dirty Bastard were close, the "Brooklyn Zoo" emcee used to duck him. He added that ODB wanted someone to join him in his crazy adventures, but Inspectah Deck was the complete opposite and he used to try and set ODB straight. Deck also goes on to share some of the hilarious moments ODB had on stage invading people's sets - in the same fashion Kanye is known for interrupting speeches.
During the conversation Inspectah Deck also spoke about how he felt Kanye could've easily joined Wu-Tang, which you can hear more about in the above clip.

Russell Tyrone Jones (November 15, 1968 – November 13, 2004) was an American rapper and occasional producer, who went by the stage name Ol' Dirty Bastard or simply ODB. He was one of the founding members of the Wu-Tang Clan, a Hip-Hop group primarily from Staten Island, New York that first rose to mainstream prominence with their 1993 debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
After establishing the Wu-Tang Clan, Ol' Dirty Bastard went on to pursue a successful solo career. However, his professional success was hampered by frequent legal troubles, including incarceration. He died in late 2004 of a drug overdose, two days before his 36th birthday. Prior to his death, Ol' Dirty Bastard managed to record his third solo album, which has been repeatedly re-shelved.
Jones was often noted for his trademark microphone techniques and his "outrageously profane, free-associative rhymes delivered in a distinctive half-rapped, half-sung style". His stage name was derived from a childhood alias given by RZA, the relevance of which was articulated by Method Man's assertion that there was "no father to his style".

Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. She made her recording debut in 1990 under the guidance of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, and released her self-titled debut studio album, Mariah Carey. The album went multi-platinum and spawned four consecutive number one singles, on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following her marriage to Mottola in 1993, a series of hit records, including Emotions (1991), Music Box (1993) and Merry Christmas (1994), established her position as Columbia's highest-selling act. Daydream (1995), made music history when the second single, "One Sweet Day" a duet with Boyz II Men, spent a record sixteen weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100, and remains the longest running number one song in US chart history. During the recording of the album Carey began to deviate from her pop background, and slowly traversed into R&B and Hip-hop. After her separation from Mottola, this musical change was evident with the release of Butterfly (1997).

He added that ODB wanted someone to join him in his crazy adventures, but Inspectah Deck was the complete opposite and he used to try and set ODB straight. Deck also goes on to share some of the hilarious moments ODB had on stage invading people's sets - in the same fashion Kanye is known for interrupting speeches.
