QUESTION: Why did Obama lie to the American people, which is what his propagandist Ben Rhodes said happened, about the Iran Nuclear Deal? The answer is simple: Congress made it legal for Obama to lie to you! Hello, this is Charles Benninghoff explaining why we must reinstate a federal law banning all domestic government-sponsored propaganda. So, what is Propaganda? It is biased or misleading information. If you believe as we do that it is outrageous for any administration - Republican or Democrat - to be able to intentionally lie to the American people, I urge you to take action now. Congress passed what is known as the Smith-Mundt Act in 1948 to protect Americans from State Department propaganda. One Congressman at the time said the Smith-Mundt Act was necessary because the State Department was “chock full of … [communists].” For 64 years it was illegal for the Executive branch and the State Department to intentionally lie to the American people. But in 2013, Congress repealed the Act. Republican House Member Mac Thornberry of Texas proposed this repeal and it flew through the GOP-controlled house and the Democrat-controlled Senate. The gullible Thornberry was suckered into thinking this repeal would allow Obama to counter Al Qaeda propaganda in the United States not knowing that Obama himself was then funding Al Qaeda and ISIL in Egypt with billions of taxpayer dollars. Thornberry failed to see through Obama's intention to deceive America. Thus, for the first time in modern history, it became legal for the regime in power to intentionally deceive the American people. The Obama administration now actually writes many of the stories that are broadcasted on the major networks. The media propagandists never broadcast the possibility that the Obama administration could be lying to you about the Iran nuclear deal, Benghazi, Syria, unvetted Muslim refugees or any other subject! We tried to stop the repeal of the Smith-Mundt Act in 2013 and thousands of Personalized Messages from our followers warned Congress that this would happen. The Bible warns against propaganda in the book of Isaiah, Chapter 59. In verse 4 it reads: “None call for justice, nor does anyone plead for truth; They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity.” Our freedoms in America cannot last if we allow the federal government to lie to us without consequence.
