The gaming Baftas (which are more properly referred to as the British Academy Games Awards) have concluded and, while I assume a dedicated few will remain on the Twitch chat channel copy pasting “LIFE IS STRANGE” and “UNDERTALE!” into the chat box I suspect others may have missed the show SO! in the interests of keeping you up to date here is the full list of winners. ... ....

This evening saw the British Academy Game Awards, the Bafta award ceremony that focuses on highlighting the best games of the previous year across a whole stack of categories. There was a good spread of winners tonight but the standouts were Her Story, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, and Rocket League ... Below are the complete results. Artistic Achievement ... Batman ... World of Warcraft has been around for more than 10 years. There have been novel approaches to reaching max level, from doing it without killing anything, to just mining. But now, a player has reached level 100 using an unorthodox controller - a dancemat ... He is currently doing Undertale Genocide with dance pads, and hopes to get to Rocket League and StarCraft 2 with the dance pads and Portal 2 with a Guitar Hero controller ... Nothing else ... ....

A Twitch streamer has reached level 100 in World of Warcraft using only his own feet and a dancepad, gathering a large following of fans in the process ... Global Offensive ... Most PC Gamers these days are familiar with a little concept known as Early Access. In fact, if you spend ANY amount of time on Steam (the most popular PC Gaming platform), then you have certainly come across a game at some point that is in “Early Access”. To many Gamers, this has been nothing but a bust ... Evolved ... Recent success like Undertale go to show that an Indie title really can hang with the Big Guns (CoD, WoW, etc) ... ....

With the Oculus Rift now officially released and the HTC Vive on it’s way very soon, it looks like virtual reality is on the rise. The question that remains to be seen is whether virtual reality is just a passing trend or a true revolution that will change gaming forever ... Jacob Larem ... The 4 most recent spin-off games span 3 platforms ... Them feels ... In the battle system of the Persona 2 duology you can negotiate or dance with your enemies (not saying Undertale ripped it off…) and 3 and 4’s is streamlined and colourful turn-based battling ... ....
