Larnell Cole

Larnell James Cole (born 9 March 1993) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Shrewsbury Town, on loan from Fulham. Born in Manchester, Cole began his career with Manchester United before joining Fulham in January 2014.

Club career

Manchester United

Cole arrived as a schoolboy at Manchester United before coming through the academy. A notable game came in 2011 when he scored a hat-trick against rivals Manchester City in a 6–1 victory in the Premier Academy League. He then went on to make an impact in the club's run to the FA Youth Cup final, scoring a penalty and setting up team-mate Ravel Morrison on the way to a 3–2 comeback against Liverpool in the quarter final.

Cole made his only senior appearance for Manchester United in the League Cup on 20 September 2011, coming as a substitute for Federico Macheda in the 77th minute of a 3–0 third round victory over rivals Leeds United at Elland Road.

On 14 May 2013, Cole scored a hat-trick, including two penalties, against rivals Liverpool in the semi-final of the Under-21 Premier League as Manchester United won 3–0. Six days later, he scored two goals against Tottenham Hotspur in the U21 finals at Old Trafford as Manchester United won 3–2.

Rio Ferdinand

Rio Gavin Ferdinand (born 7 November 1978) is an English former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He played 81 times for the England national football team between 1997 and 2011, and was a member of three FIFA World Cup squads. He is regarded by many to be one of England's greatest ever players and he is one of the most decorated English footballers of all time.

Ferdinand began his football career playing for various youth teams, finally settling at West Ham United where he progressed through the youth ranks and made his professional Premier League debut in 1996. He became a fan favourite, winning the 'Hammer of the Year award' the following season. He earned his first senior international cap in a match against Cameroon in 1997, setting a record as the youngest defender to play for England at the time. His achievements and footballing potential attracted Leeds United and he transferred to the club for a record-breaking fee of £18 million. He spent two seasons at the club, becoming the team captain in 2001.

Roy Keane

Roy Maurice Keane (born 10 August 1971) is an Irish football manager and former professional football player. He is the joint most successful Irish footballer of all time, having won 19 major trophies, 17 of which came at Manchester United, in his club career. He is currently the assistant manager of the Republic of Ireland national football team.

In his 18-year-long playing career, he played for Cobh Ramblers, Nottingham Forest, and Manchester United, before ending his career at Celtic. Keane was a dominating defensive midfielder, noted for his aggressive and highly competitive style of play, an attitude that helped him excel as captain of Manchester United from 1997 until his departure in 2005. Joining the club in 1993, Keane helped United achieve a sustained period of success during his twelve year tenure at the club. He then signed for Celtic but retired as a player less than a year later.

Keane played at international level for much of his career, representing the Republic of Ireland over a period of 14 years, most of which he spent as captain. He played in every Republic of Ireland game at the 1994 FIFA World Cup, although he was sent home from the 2002 World Cup after an incident with national coach Mick McCarthy. Regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders of his generation, in 2004 Keane was named by Pelé in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players. In 2007, The Times placed him at number 11 in their list of the 50 hardest footballers in history.
